Looking to get started up here and familiarize myself with this place before recommending to others. Also waiting to see if groups or non-personal pages get some sort of better interface to browse through. Otherwise for now I'm probably just going to split my needs between here and Lemmy.

I'll probably add better profile pictures and shit, and maybe even my real surname. But for now, what I'm looking for out of this place is a space to post all of my thoughts and hot / shit takes to my own page. And probably offload a couple of years worth of randomly downloaded pictures and memes that may or may not mean anything. Still working on setting things up here though, like keywords and additional fields and shit.

I can get wordy sometimes, and possibly annoying. And sweary. So I don't care if no one cares or even pays attention to my rants anyway. I'm just hoping that this is place where I can be my feral and abrasive and probably fucking weird self without feeling too much like an alien. I've been trying Facebook for the last couple of weeks and even if you only stick to groups and people that seem to align with your general vibe, the whole atmosphere there is just so fucking church-like and conservative and depressing. Hoping that I feel less shame for being me here and that there's less cringing about my posts later and deleting them here.
