Everybody needs a shot of R&B
Dr Feelgood - Private Practice
This was Dr Feelgood's sixth album, their usual mix of covers and originals, including their biggest hit, Milk And Alcohol.
The picture on the front of the sleeve is quite iconic and not a little unnerving (see above).
The rear of the sleeve shows them with a cosplay sexy nurse outside 20A Harley Street. It looks like the picture has been doctored (no pun intended) to change the number and add their logo. It does look like it's in Harley Street, though. I've tried geo-locating the actual building, but it's really difficult on my shitty laptop. By how shifty they look going in, I imagine it was some kind of sexual health clinic.
My LP is the Benelux edition, and has a record shop sticker on the rear cover, from Caminada Music Shops in The Netherlands, both of which have now disappeared without a trace. The Den Haag address is now a cafe called Joe & The Juice (Vegan Avocado Sandwich 10,60 Euros) and the Amsterdam one is an all night grocers called Big Bananas ("A passable selection of wine, some odd-looking canned cocktails and a variety of sandwiches are stocked here. Expensive, even for a night shop." - Time Out).
Tinselwig likes this.
