I just love the moon. Maybe it's one of the reasons that I am such a night owl... It calms me. It guides me. It gives a brightness to the darkness, but one that is not too bright for my eyes. The moon is such a beautiful creation, and I can never get enough of it. ๐
I love the night. It's calmer then. Less busy. Less pressured. Lazy, maybe, in a way. Less sensitivity issues for me. I only miss that I'm not able to pop into a store and get my groceries on before most of the folks get up and about... That would be even more fantastic, for a nightly creature ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ like me...
The moon was rather bright just now. But I wonder if I'll be able to see anything of the blood moon this early morning, as the moon is slowly getting lower, and then it will be behind the sound barrier that's between us and the highway.
Hopefully I can see (and maybe) capture some of the blood moon... Fingers crossed ๐ค๐ป

I saw the start of the eclipse as well. Lower left part was disappearing when i went to bed. Absolutely clear view. But I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
My niece took my little grandniece (my niece's niece) out to see it in California. The Mom had to get up at 5am. so no staying up for her.
Hopefully, the little one remembers it.

in reply to DoNotPunchDown โข โขYeah it's indeed a bummer... I think the next ones will be on 7/8 September and I think on December 31st... The one in September should be more visible here in the Netherlands, so I'll definitely be up for that! Hoping there will be a clear night... I'm a night owl anyway, so I'm usually up during the special moon bits, it's just not always visible here.
I'm glad to read that your family has been able to enjoy it. Hopefully they also took some nice snaps so they can show it to the niece at times, that may help her remember it better I guess.
