Ponder, ponder...

I'm pondering just what to make from this fabric. It's a lovely summer-weight cotton that feels like it'd be perfect for a light blouse or maybe a dress. The stripes make me want to turn it into drawstring pants but I think it'd tear out in the inseam and seat on the first wear.

So maybe something like a tunic from Gudrun Sjoden? I love her tunics, though I certainly can't afford them. Could work.

You know, after I finish the dozen or so other sewing projects I have backed up.

Hahaha, i know the feeling of buying something, just because you never know what's about to pop up in the mind to create with it!...I 've something alike with yarn... Once i see something beautiful, i need it. Because the ideas are already there. Simple like that! I've read once, a wood sculptor looks at the piece of wood he wants to work with, to watch the lines, the shape, and the gnarls in it and then 'sees' what's coming out of it. So: watch the cloth and imagine the wonderful dress you're going to make! Have fun 🥰
