Busy Busy
Wow, y'all. I have been trying to do a digital cleanse. As in, deleting my account on a LOT of websites I signed up. I had no idea I was so much out there. I mean, I kept a list of passwords, but it's been an ordeal. I'm 101 lines into the list, and that's just the deletions, not the address changes or updates, and nothing "important" yet. Just games and shopping and social crap so far. Everything from Pinterest to Listography to a mahjong game site. And at least a good quarter of them are the kind where you have to dig to even find how to leave, maybe email, maybe fill out a form, wait for them to reply, etc. Just stupid levels of annoyance just to delete an account. There are even a handful where it'll take more work because they literally have no way to contact them at all that I can find on the surface. Honestly, that pisses me off. Family Dollar stores, I don't even remember why I signed up, but no way to contact them on their website anywhere at all, not even a website administrator. Might have to go get pissy on facebook. No spellcheck, fuck you, I refuse to capitalize that word, it doesn't deserve it.
So anyway, I'm still around. Just trying not to succumb to panic attacks with every new thing I read in the news. Our D&D game was delayed by two weeks because the DM was so freaked out and overwhelmed with things. We gamed Sunday, but he needed the distraction because he lost the job he'd had for less than a month. Anyhow! Peace to you all, and wish me luck dealing with these websites. if you have a website or newsletter or whatever, don't make it difficult for people to leave or unsubscribe. I guarantee it will piss them off and they'll end up telling others about it. See? Just like I did.
