Mos Def - The Ecstatic

Over the last few months I was going through my CDs and playing them in my car. My car stereo was pretty good for a little 2011 Mazda - it packed a punch.

This is actually my partners cd but it's a mutual fave. You can tell it's well loved and thrashed. It's a hard album to buy with limited vinyl copies available and not available on streaming. It contains the sample of Turkish singer Selda Bağcan and some pretty politically loaded tracks for it's time.

I took a pic of this with the intention to post what I'd been spinning in the car.

I almost lost this cd on Saturday. My partner rescued this and a handful of other CDs from my car when they came to meet me after a car accident before the tow truck took my car. The police looked bewildered that I had cds - and so many of them.

I'm sad my little car is no more and this was the last of the cd drives.
