We cannot rightly wait trusting civilization fixes it all
There is the issue of how we can always continue in this world. With civilization we cannot. It takes too much to keep going and that is more than what is remaining available from this world where we all are. There should be recognition enough all civilization is coming to a great crisis. For those still around in civilization it is probably over the next generation when everyone is affected with the collapse happening.

Not Enough Progress Yet: Despite positive steps, the pace of change is still insufficient to meet the goals outlined in the Paris Agreement (limiting warming to 1.5°C or well below 2°C).
Significant Emissions Still Occur: Greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2 and methane, continue to rise and fuel global warming. Fossil fuel reliance remains a major contributor.
Losses and Damages are Increasing: Climate change impacts are already causing significant losses and damages to both ecosystems and human societies, particularly affecting vulnerable populations.
Urgent and Accelerated Action Needed: The window of opportunity to prevent the worst impacts is rapidly closing, emphasizing the need for immediate and accelerated action on both mitigation and adaptation.
The collective efforts to reduce emissions and adapt to impacts are leading to noticeable progress in some areas. However, a more rapid and comprehensive transition to a low-carbon economy and a more resilient society is needed.
There is the cost of there not having been enough change. But any of us could be away from where collapse will affect those there, with sustainable ways on land far from it.
