iOS App for Friendica?

So many people are looking for alternatives to Meta products right now, but the barrier to entry to Fediverse social networks remains too high for most users, especially those still active on legacy platforms like Facebook. A specific pain-point I am encountering in trying to assist folks in making the leap is the lack of mobile clients for iOS users. Are there any plans for an iOS app for Friendica? Or an iOS version of a multi-account manager like Fedilab?

"One such client is iMast, which is available on the App Store and supports iOS 16.4 or later. This app can be used to access Friendica as well as other Fediverse platforms."

@Sarah Peck There's Relatica. But it's still an early, closed beta. You can't load it from the App Store just like so. You'll have to join the Relatica Beta Test Program.

Otherwise, it's either Friendica in a browser or installing Friendica as a Progressive Web App from the browser.

@Sarah Peck look forward for Relatica. They're working on it. Follow @Hank G ☑️ for updates or message him if you want to join the beta yourself.

@Cătă

Thanks! I'm not an iPhone user so can't assist in that regard - looking for something to help others migrate here.

Relatica is written in Flutter so supports iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. I can add you to the Android testing team if you want to DM me about that.

The only iMast I can find is in Chinese. I’m using the web interface for now. This is a bit of a struggle still.
Well dang. I use Android and so am no help; I'm using Fedilab for mobile, which allows me to manage Friendica, Pixelfed, and Mastodon accounts all in one app. If you're feeling adventurous, maybe this?

Will give it a look 😀. An iOS app will come, no doubt. This is early days.

Yeah, I had about decided that this Friendica thing was a prank you were playing. Definitely not user friendly.
Regrettably, not a prank. 😥 I definitely recognize the sub-optimal user experience; I just also know how desperate folks are to divest from Meta, and this is the closest thing I could find to something Facebook-like. Pixelfed is far more user-friendly, but it's limited to photo sharing. Mastodon has multi-media capabilities but lacks some of the features I find useful here.
I want something with a post thread feed, like this, that also allows photos/albums, event planning, and messaging. Basically I want non-evil Facebook 😀. Bluesky is OK but it’s a Twitter app, and I don’t communicate via tweets. I think Friendica has potential.

Exactly! Event planning and differing levels of privacy (the ability to create circles, here) are key for me.

Oh yes, groups/circles also are key.
