If you are an ICT professional, please share one scenario you actually faced where you used a collection of basic ICT skills. You don't need to explain how you solved it (it should be something another ICT professional could work through). Just share the scenario. It would really help me out.
My 15 year old students have learned an entire textbook of ICT info/skills in conceptual manner with zero practical experience or even thinking in terms of real scenarios.

ICT is very wide of a term (if we are thinking of the same thing - Information and Communications Technology; I am assuming as such based on your profile & other posts), it seems wild to me to have a singular textbook. It might be helpful to specify exactly what subset.
