Bali Myna
An eye-catching white starling with black tips to the tail and wings, bare blue facial skin, and long plumes that hang down the nape. Juvenile is shorter-crested than adult, with yellow wash. Found in small groups in open forest, where it spends time in the trees and foraging on the ground. Avoids dense forest. Restricted to northwest Bali. Differs from Black-winged Starling in having the black on the wings confined to tips, and in showing blue facial skin. Song is an untidy jumble of scratchy, chattering notes and whistles.

I only recently learned about Hydrogen (by number of atoms, the majority of our bodies!) from Katie Mack's podcast on Crash Course.

The tongues of woodpeckers wrap around the back of their brains, and is one of the things that protects them from getting injured, when they peck trees. The Northern Flicker has the longest tongue of any woodpecker, which can extend 2 inches beyond the tip of their bills!

In eastern Ukraine, a Shubin is a spirit found in the mines. Legends speak of good and bad Shubin. Some think Shubin was the name of a miner who died and who now walks the mines protecting miners by burning off pockets of hazardous gas. Others say the Shubin was a wicked master of the mines who murdered several men in the dark. Yet another view is that he is the vengeful spirit of a new miner, who was tricked into going into a potentially dangerous area to check if it was safe for the other workers. It wasn't and he was killed by a gas explosion. His ghost now haunts the mines, seeking revenge by causing accidents.
