The Sense of Wonder

1879

Got some books and a map for #fasagames #ttrpg #1879 yesterday. Not sure I will ever get to play it though…

Jag har några frågor här ...

7th Sea RPG

With these three books I now have all books for 7th Sea #rpg in print. Not sure I’ll ever play it but the collection is complete.
I also got Alice is Missing, as you can see.

7th Sea RPG

Have waited for this campaign to the #ttrpg #7thSea from #AgateStudios, and today it arrived. Beautiful and lots of cool stuff. Haven't read the books yet though, but I assume it is glorious!

Cider

Tried a new #cider today. This was probably the best cider of the summer, but it was also the most expensive.
A little stronger in alcohol than regular cider (7.5 percent), which is felt in the taste without the alcohol taste taking over. From Normandy, dark yellow in colour. Fruity and very clear apple flavour, with a tone of spruce needles, slight roughness. Tone of Calvados in the first part of the taste, which then turns into a clear taste with a tone of red apples. Weak acidity but strong fruitiness, not at all excessively sweet.

Cider

Today I tried a new #cider again. It was probably about time I tried this one... (The name of the cider, "Sent om cider", translates to approximately "better late than never".)

Good balance between acidity and tartness in the taste. Lot of carbonation that fades quickly. Clear apple character in the taste, more green and yellow apples than red ones. Serve well chilled, on its own or with a lighter meal or snack. Easy to drink and pleasant in taste.

Cider

Today it was time to try a new #cider , Petite Pomme Demi-Sec. French, from Normandy and Brittany, which you could almost taste.

Slightly sweet, with discrete acidity, full-bodied flavour with a hint of apple peel tartness. Tone of red apples, with almond notes. Good on its own and with light food or snacks.

Cider

Tried a new cider today, but the rather clear name Äppelcider halvtorr, from Kullabergs vingård.
#cider

Semi-dry with clear lemon acidity that slightly hides the sweetness, flavour from green apples dominant even though it contains several red apple sorts. Best chilled, with food or on its own for those who like a little more acidic dryness.

Cider

Today I tried a new cider. To be honest, its name (It shall be incomprehensible how the wondrous happens) was a big part of the reason I bought it. But what did it taste like?

Almost no sweetness, lemony tartness with some wineiness in the body. Light in colour, made from unfiltered must, slightly weak in body. Should be drunk with some kind of snack, preferably salty, like cheese, or meat or fish. Not a favourite for me.
#cider

Cider

Today I tried a #cider that's new to me: #Galipette Rosé. I have tried Galipette Brut before, and really liked that one. The question is, is Rosé as good tasting as Brut?
Galipette Rosé (Les Celliers Associés, France):

Nice balance between sweetness and acidity with a hint of harshness as long as the cider remains on the tongue, the flavour fades quickly. No strong fullness, light in body and duration. Easy to drink and probably fits best with lighter dishes, salads, cheese, or on its own.

Cider

Today I got my summer cider delivered. Most are old ciders that I have already tried. But a few new ones too. I am particularly eager to try out the one with the long name, "Det skall vara obegripligt hur det underbara sker" ("It should be incomprehensible how the wondrous happens")

Books

Got a few books delivered today. All by the amazing author Ursula le Guin. Just in time for a one week break. Good times!

Projective Geometry

In the middle of a period of Projective geometry with the students. Such a joy to discover and explore this together with them.
