The media are not reporting on the many lawsuits facing the administration, the courts investigating contempt charges, or that the House of Representatives has been "prorogued" to prevent the Speaker being toppled. There is no legal method to prorogue US Congress.

How I #buyCanadian is like this:
1. Look at the shelves for a maple leaf
2. Pull up #MapleScan on my cellphone
3. Double check by scanning it
4. If it’s a store brand, like No Name by Loblaws, but not a product of Canada, OR it says made in canada but NOT by a canadian company or parent company, I start scanning products on the shelf without a maple leaf.
5. Often times there ARE products on the shelf which are a true “ #productofCanada ”, by #canadiancompanies, sans maple leaf sticker with the price tag.

I’ll opt for #100%canadian where I can, mostly Canadian second, lastly made anywhere but the US.

@Deborah Hartmann Preuss, pcc Keep in mind, while all the brands in DFC’s list are made with 100% canadian dairy, they are not all 100% Canadian. Most appear to be, while some have parent companies in the US or France, and few are owned by an American company. Example: Fairlife is a US company, but they recently set up shop in Canada and source their products 100% from Canadian dairy farmers.
The same for A2, which is a New Zealand company, but they source their A2/A2 dairy from Canadian dairy farmers.

Where I have the option, I choose fully-canadian first. Second option is canadian company with non-canadian parent company, if it’s also not a US parent company. Third, non-US company that sources 100% from canadian dairy farmers.

For example, many dairy products sold by Loblaws’ No Name are not a product of Canada, do not carry DFC’s blue cow logo, cannot be found on the DFC’s company products list, nor does the packaging specify where they source their resources from. However, the store fronts are quick to label their products with “prepared in canada” along with a maple leaf.

As I continue to feel more and more horrified the further in I read, two major concerns continues to come to mind:
1. Could #Canadianresidents living close to the US border risk losing #herdimmunities to infectious diseases amid US service and worker cuts, ie., 2,400 employees cut from U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
2. Quality assurances for US-made perishables, such as dairy and meats, may very well become non-existent; "cuts will include 3,500 full-time employees from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration."

#Canadians NEED to be smart with their votes this April. Which political group will protect us Canadians BEST from all the spill over from the US? Not just the financial spill over, due to do trade war-time tariffs. Who will keep us physically and mentally safe?
