Ukrainian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, Israel: event announcements

In Tel Aviv-Yafo, the Ukrainian Cultural Center operates — a platform where Ukrainian culture in Israel exists not "on holidays," but in the regular city rhythm.

This is a place for exhibitions, meetings, lectures, and community events, where not only Ukrainians come, but also Israelis who find it important to understand neighbors and partners not through headlines, but through people and meanings.
What is this center and why is it needed in Israel

The center is associated with the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel and operates as a cultural point of presence for Ukraine in the city.

To put it simply: it's a space where you can see, hear, and "touch" Ukraine through culture — without unnecessary ideology and without the officialdom that often repels.

The Ukrainian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv started on October 13, 2021 — in reports about the opening, this was called the beginning of work in test mode.

Separately, on the page of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel, it is noted that the center has been operating "since October 2021" and that it was previously in Bat Yam.

«A little from here and a little from there»: Ukrainian-Israeli evening «Tales from the Suitcase» to be held in Tel Aviv — October 15, 2026

On October 15 in Tel Aviv, Anna Andrienko's author project "Tuteshni" will hold a chamber meeting "Tales from the Suitcase" — an evening of stories, family memories, Ukrainian traditions, and that special experience familiar to many people who once arrived in Israel with a suitcase.

Author: Anton Pshedinsky

The meeting will take place on October 15, 2026, at 19:30 at the Ukrainian cuisine restaurant SHO? in Tel Aviv. The organizers deliberately limit the number of participants: the format is conceived not as a large event, but as an evening for a small company where people can truly talk to each other.

The name of the meeting is "Tales from the Suitcase", which literally means "Tales from the Suitcase".

And the suitcase here is not just a beautiful image.
"Almost all of us once came here with a suitcase. Some for a short time, some forever, and some, as it turned out, "for a short time" for already fifteen years," writes the project author Anna Andrienko.

But along with things, people brought a completely different baggage: habits, mom's phrases, grandma's recipes, jokes, memories, and family stories.

Such a suitcase should become one of the central elements of the…

Ukrainian classics in Hebrew: “Every city has its own character and rights” by Grigory Skovoroda has already been translated by the “Nemala נְמָלָה” project as part of the Translate Ukraine 2025 program

In 2025, Israel will continue to support the translation of Ukrainian literary works. Among them is the "Anthology of Ukrainian Poetry" (Volume I), which includes the works of classics from Hryhorii Skovoroda to Ivan Franko.

This project won a tender for translation and publication and was selected for inclusion in the Translate Ukraine 2025 program. The Israeli publishing house Persimmon Books Ltd will handle the translation, printing, and distribution, funded by Ukraine.

The translation in Israel is being carried out by the creative project and publisher "Nemala נְמָלָה".

The project was initiated by Asaf Bartov and Nataliia Tymkiv, an Israeli-Ukrainian family dedicated to preserving and sharing the richness of both cultures. They want their daughter and her peers to live in a world where the best works of Ukrainian and Israeli literature are available in their native languages.

On May 16, 2025, Asaf Bartov announced that the Hebrew translation of Hryhorii Skovoroda’s poem “To Every City Its Custom and Law” has been completed.
"The war waged by Russia against Ukraine is essentially a war against Ukrainian identity and culture.
When Russians occupy a village, they, for example…

A synagogue that unfolds like a book: the story of an unusual Jewish memorial ‘Place for Reflection’ in Babyn Yar — from a destroyed world to a new war

It was built from old Ukrainian oak, with a starry sky depicted on the ceiling on September 29, 1941, and the opening was turned into a collective action. How the unusual synagogue appeared in Kyiv, why its construction caused controversy, and what happened to the memorial after the Russian invasion.

Author: Lev Varshavsky

In Babyn Yar, among the trees, near the bronze Menorah, stands a wooden structure eleven meters high. At first glance, it's hard to understand what is in front of you. A vertical structure made of oak, a metal frame, practically no familiar signs of a religious building. But when people start turning a special wheel, the walls come into motion, the roof opens, benches and a prayer space appear.

In front of visitors is a synagogue. A real one, although completely unusual.

It is called a "Place for Reflection." Built in Kyiv in 2021 according to the project of Swiss architect Manuel Herz, specifically for the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center. Jewish prayers are written on the walls, the paintings resemble the interiors of destroyed Ukrainian synagogues, and the flowers on the ceiling repeat the arrangement of stars over Kyiv on the night when the Nazis…

Felix Shinder in Israel in 2026: «Lemonchiki», klezmer, three concerts and Odessa, which you can’t take with you — it travels itself — October 15 — Haifa, October 21 — Netanya, October 23 — Bat Yam

October 15 — Haifa, October 21 — Netanya, October 23 — Bat Yam. Felix Shinder returns to Israel with "Lemonchiki", "7:40", klezmer, Utyosov, and that very Odessa intonation. But behind the cheerful poster, there is another story: after 2022, his concerts in Europe became charitable, and part of the income from one of the previous Israeli tours was directed to children of Ukrainian refugees.

Author — Anton Pshydynskyi

On September 9, 2026, Israeli producer Svetlana Berdetskaya announced new Israeli concerts of Felix Shinder. And here, as is customary in Odessa, everything seems clear, but there are details.

Tickets are already available on SHOWMAN.

In the initial poster, Haifa was scheduled for October 17. However, the current SHOWMAN ticketing system now says otherwise: October 15, 2026, Thursday, 19:00. So we looked not only at the announcement but also where they are already asking for shekels for tickets. As of September 10, three concerts are officially listed: Haifa, Netanya, and Bat Yam.

It turns out to be a real little Israeli route of Odessa.

October 15 — Haifa, Matnas Adar, Beitenu Hall, Yerushalayim St., 29, starts at 19:00, ticket — 166 shekels.

October 21 —…

Tamara Gverdtsiteli: great Georgian singer with Jewish roots. Category 🔯 — Jews from Ukraine #jewsukraine

“It was Putin who killed my mother” - “My Odessa, Odessa my mother is being bombed - we say goodbye to Russia.”

But besides her creativity, her life and story are associated with deep personal dramas and difficult decisions, especially after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.

Tamara (Tamriko) Gverdtsiteli - a name well known in the post-Soviet space. This talented singer, actress and composer, People's Artist of Georgia and other countries, won the hearts of millions with her voice and soulful music.

After the start of Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the artist canceled her performance in Moscow at a festive concert dedicated to March 8th. According to Gverdtsiteli, she wanted to be close to her mother, who was born in Odessa and was very worried about Putin’s aggression.

Historical Roots of Jewish Surnames in Ukraine: Cultural Ties and Centuries-Old Coexistence — Opinion

Every autumn, the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine becomes a place of pilgrimage for thousands of Jews from all over the world who come to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

This event symbolizes not only a religious tradition, but also a deep historical connection between the Jewish people and the Ukrainian land. Many Jews, inspired by this tradition, settled in Uman, creating an entire microdistrict and gradually assimilating into the Ukrainian cultural environment, which emphasizes the long history of coexistence between Jews and Ukrainians.

Israeli philologist and cultural scientist, professor Wolf Moskovich, told in detail about significant Ukrainian-Jewish cultural ties, which are reflected even in surnames, many of which are of Ukrainian origin. For example, the surnames Ivankiv And Vannikov come from the name of the village of Ivanki, located near Uman, and Zavadivker - from the village of Zavadivka. Surname Macedonian originates from the village of Makedoni, located near Kanev.

Of particular interest are surnames with a clear Ukrainian flavor, such as The Bully Tail, Coward Head, Storcheus And Psuybumaga. Although they resemble the style…

Ukraine, Israel, and difficult memory: why the story of Andriy Melnyk requires no slogans

What happened: Ukraine brings its historical heroes home

The reburial of Andriy Melnyk and Sofiya Fedak-Melnyk is not a separate ceremony around one historical figure. It is part of Ukraine's broader state policy to create its own national military pantheon.

On May 31, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on the National Military Memorial Cemetery. The document established the legal framework for creating a place where Ukraine will commemorate those who defended its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Later, the state made additional decisions related to the construction and operation of this memorial complex.

The National Military Memorial Cemetery is located in the Kyiv region, within the Hatne community of the Fastiv district, near the village of Markhalivka. It is not just a cemetery but a large state memorial complex: with burial fields, columbaria, religious structures, museum space, and infrastructure for the honorable burial of Ukrainian defenders and fighters for independence.

The first burials at the National Military Memorial Cemetery took place on August 29, 2025, on the Day of Remembrance of Ukraine's Defenders. At that time, the memorial began…

Apartment painting in Haifa and Krayot: why in Israel they sell not a ‘painter’, but peace of mind, deadlines, and a clear estimate

Apartment painting in Haifa, Krayot, Nesher, and Tirat Carmel has long ceased to be a simple household service in Israel from the series "a master came and refreshed the walls." Today, the market is arranged differently: the client buys not a can of paint and not a few passes with a roller, but a predictable result, quick deadlines, neat work in a residential apartment, and no unpleasant surprises in price. For the Israeli audience, this is especially important because the price of a mistake is higher here: a tight rhythm of life, expensive rent, constant lack of time, the need to quickly prepare an apartment for moving in, selling, or re-renting.

That is why the topic of apartment painting goes far beyond repair as such.

In northern Israel, it is closely linked with trust, local housing specifics, humidity by the sea, old housing stock, apartments after tenants, and the owner's desire to put the property in order without heavy capital intervention. For NAnews readers, this story is also interesting because it very accurately shows how client behavior is changing in Israel: people are less and less reacting to the loud 'cheap', and more and more looking for peace of mind, a…

«Odessa Anxiety»: People’s Artists of Ukraine Oleg Filimonov and Diana Malaya in November 2026 — premiere performances of the play in Israel

Big premiere in Israel! "...The event will continue if the alarm lasts no more than an hour..." - with these words, this play begins.

In November 2026, performances of the play "Odessa Alarm or How One Mishpucha Gathered in a Shelter" will take place in Israel with the participation of People's Artists of Ukraine Oleg Filimonov and Diana Malaya. This is a tour across six cities — Haifa, Ashdod, Rishon LeZion, Be'er Sheva, Petah Tikva, and Netanya.

Formally — a comedy in Russian with an Odessa "pronunciation".
In essence — a stage conversation about life during the war.

The play begins with a phrase that has long ceased to be a theatrical convention: "The event will continue if the alarm lasts no more than an hour..." This line sets the tone for the entire action. The audience immediately understands that it is not about a fictional alarm, but about the everyday reality of recent years.

Duration — 1 hour 40 minutes. Age restriction — 12+. Price range depending on the city — approximately 186–256 shekels.
Tour geography: cities, dates, audience

The performances are spread across the country — from north to south.

An international exhibition on moral choice during the Holocaust opened in Dnipro

In the Museum "Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine" in Dnipro, an international exhibition "Some Were Neighbors: Choice, Human Behavior, and the Holocaust" has opened. The exhibition was created by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, and this fact alone makes the event significant not only for Ukraine but also for the broader Jewish and international context.

This is not just another museum initiative, but an attempt to once again pose one of the most difficult questions of the 20th century: what did ordinary people do next to the crime, how did they react to the persecution of Jews, and why did some choose indifference, others cooperation, and a few found the courage to help.

The exhibition is based on the idea expressed by Esther Bem: it is important for generations born after the Holocaust to know that people had a choice.

This thought becomes central to the entire exhibition because it shifts the conversation from an impersonal historical scheme to personal responsibility in the face of evil.
The exhibition is open at the Museum "Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine" in the city of Dnipro.

The exhibition runs…

«It is a great honor for me to be with you at this time» — Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Asman published an address to the residents of Kyiv

«Light will definitely overcome darkness» — the rabbi addressed the people of Kyiv amidst new Russian attacks, remembered the deceased 14-year-old Jewish teenager, and prayed for those affected at the Academy of Sciences and the Dobrobut medical clinic.

Author: Lev Varshavsky

On September 28, 2026, the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Asman published an address to the residents of Kyiv, once again sharing his song "Kyiv — Hero." The occasion was the ongoing Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital, resulting in the loss of lives, burning of residential buildings, scientific institutions, and medical centers.
"It is a great honor for me to be with you in this difficult time."

"Friends! In recent weeks, Kyiv and its residents have been under continuous Russian attacks day and night," the rabbi wrote on his official Facebook page.

He emphasized that he considers it a great honor to remain with the people of Kyiv in this difficult time.
"I believe: together we will stand. Light will definitely overcome darkness!"

A song that has become relevant again

«Israel in Ukrainian»: a new information portal tells about Israel in the Ukrainian language

News, history, travel, social life, and practical information about Israel — now all of this can be read in Ukrainian on a separate information portal. The editorial team of NAnews introduces readers to the project israel.in.ua and explains who it might be especially useful for.

Regular Israeli news. Just ... in Ukrainian

It's important to correctly understand the format of 'Israel in Ukrainian'. This is not a special project dedicated exclusively to the Ukrainian community or promoting the Ukrainian agenda in Israel. It is a regular information portal about Israel, its politics, economy, security, society, and daily life. The main difference is in the language of the publications.

Israelis have long had the opportunity to choose the language in which they receive news about their country. Ynet, Mako, Walla, and Maariv operate in Hebrew. The English-speaking audience reads The Times of Israel, The Jerusalem Post, and i24NEWS. For Russian-speaking readers, there are 'Vesti Israel', NEWSru Israel, Channel 9, and other information resources.

Of course, these publications differ in scale, audience, and editorial structure. But the…

Russian drones against kosher Ukrainian ice cream: destroyed ‘Rud’ warehouse and its supplies to Israel

After the Russian strike on September 5, 2026, one of Ukraine's largest ice cream producers lost a refrigerated warehouse covering 4,350 square meters. On the night of September 28, a food industry enterprise in Zhytomyr was attacked again. This story has a direct connection to Israel: Zhytomyr's 'Rud' has been working with a local importer for years, producing products specifically for the Israeli market, including kosher items. The scale of trade is quite significant — in 2024 alone, Israel purchased over 1,163 tons of Ukrainian ice cream for $5.12 million.

Author: Pavel Shveiko

On September 28, 2026, Russian drones attacked a food enterprise in the Zhytomyr community — an administrative community in northwestern Ukraine, about 140 kilometers from Kyiv. A fire started after the impact. According to Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, rescuers extinguished the fire, and there were no casualties or injuries reported.

In the initial report from regional authorities, the name of the enterprise was not specified. Meanwhile, just 23 days earlier, on September 5, a Russian drone had already destroyed the refrigeration complex of the 'Rud'…

RedotPay in Israel: virtual card, crypto wallet, and payments worldwide — what you need to know before registering

In Israel, many people have the same practical problem: the main bank or credit card is literally linked to everything.

It is used to pay for advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and Google, subscriptions to work services, hosting, domains, online stores, apps, trips, delivery, international platforms, and dozens of small regular payments.

As long as everything works, it's convenient. But as soon as the advertising account charges more than expected, a subscription is automatically renewed, a foreign service rejects a payment, or the card needs to be reissued, it becomes clear: keeping all payments on one main card is not always wise.

Against this backdrop, more and more users are looking towards separate virtual cards. One of the services actively discussed in this topic is RedotPay.

It is often called a crypto card, but for the average user, cryptocurrency is not the only important thing.

RedotPay can be interesting as a separate payment tool: for online payments, advertising accounts, international services, mobile wallets, limits, as well as working with USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, and other supported digital assets.

Officially, RedotPay describes itself as a payment app and…

The Alibi Sisters in Israel: the Zaval’ski sisters bring Ukrainian-Jewish music, Yiddish and klezmer — October 2026

In October 2026, Israel will once again hear The Alibi Sisters — the duo of Anna and Angelina Zavalsky, Ukrainian sisters from Kyiv, who have journeyed from the popular group "Алібі" to a project where the Ukrainian scene, Jewish memory, Yiddish, klezmer, and retro aesthetics sound like one story.

The tour will take place from October 10 to 18, 2026, covering several cities in Israel: Nof HaGalil, Ashdod, Netanya, Ashkelon, Rishon LeZion, Petah Tikva, Be'er Sheva, and Haifa. All concerts are scheduled for 20:00, and tickets, according to the organizers Showman, range from 174 to 265 shekels in different cities.

Tickets are already available on the Showman website.

This is not just a tour of a Ukrainian duo.

For many Israelis, especially those whose family histories are connected with Kyiv, Podolia, Odessa, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Berdychiv, or Uman, this concert may be a meeting with that cultural world that cannot always be explained in words. It lives in songs, intonations, old records, family recipes, Yiddish words, grandmother's memories, and that special music where joy and sadness almost never exist separately.

Hair Health Center ‘Abramsky’ in Haifa: when itching, hair loss, and ‘thinning part’ stop being trivial

There are problems that people try to "endure" for a long time.
Hair on the brush. Scalp itch. The feeling that the ponytail has become thinner. The parting has widened. And also — the eternal "maybe it's seasonal." In Israel, this sounds especially familiar: heat, sun, humidity, stress, abrupt changes in care and water — all this affects the scalp and follicles.

Therefore, many at some point stop googling another "shampoo for everything" and look for a place where they first deal with the cause, and only then offer a plan. In Haifa, such an address for many becomes the "Abramsky" Hair Health Center — the Russian-language main page is here:

Why "just hair loss" often turns out to be a system of causes

The most common pain is the feeling of losing control.
Yesterday everything was fine, and today hair remains in the shower drain, on the pillow, on clothes. People start taking typical steps: changing shampoos, buying vitamins, trying masks, canceling coloring, enduring itching. Sometimes it gets easier, but often — not for long.

The problem is that hair loss and thinning often go hand in hand with scalp irritation: inflammation, increased oiliness, dryness, flaking. And until…

«Iron Swords» in Ukrainian: why Michael Bar-Zohar’s book about Israel’s war with Hamas was released in Ukraine at the most precise moment

The Ukrainian edition of Michael Bar-Zohar's book about Israel's war with Hamas appeared not just in time, but almost symbolically accurately. Against the backdrop of a new round of war with Iran, proxy warfare, and Israel's right to self-defense, this book becomes not only a chronicle of October 7 but also a tool for explaining the entire logic of the conflict to the Ukrainian reader.

In Ukraine, a book by the famous Israeli historian Michael Bar-Zohar "Iron Swords, Wounded Hearts. Israel's Fateful War with Hamas" (Ukr. - "Залізні мечі, зранені серця. Доленосна війна Ізраїлю з ХАМАСом") was published. The Ukrainian edition was published in 2025 by the publishing house "Nash Format", is part of the series "Jewish Library", has 272 pages, hardcover.

The book is already available in Ukrainian on the publisher's website -

The annotation states that Bar-Zohar began writing it already on October 8, 2023, the day after the Hamas attack, to capture what was happening before reality was distorted by fanaticism and propaganda.

And this is precisely what makes the Ukrainian release of the book important not only for the book market. Before us is not an ordinary translated novelty and…

Ukraine surpassed Israel in the strictness of the driving license exam: 90% correct answers, but only one in five passes on the first attempt

Ukraine is among the countries with the highest requirements for the theoretical exam for a category B driver's license. To pass successfully, you need to answer at least 90% of the questions correctly. In Israel, the passing threshold is 86.7%. However, Ukrainian statistics show another side of this strictness: in 2025, only 22.7% of the total number of tests were successfully passed on the first attempt.

«Ukrainian» buses in Israel: who are Polly Tour / פולי תור and why companies and organizers should pay attention to this carrier

It all started quite ordinarily. On Facebook, we came across a post with photos of a bus in Israel: a large tourist Mercedes, blue-yellow coloring, and right above the windshield — the Ukrainian trident. On the side — the name Polly Tour / פולי תור.

The author of the photo wrote in Ukrainian: "Ось такі в Ізраїлі є автобуси! Дякую Тобі Боже за Твій народ" (These are the buses in Israel! Thank You God for Your people). We paused at the photo, then opened the carrier's page, the official website, old Facebook posts — and as a result, instead of one beautiful photo, we got quite an interesting story of an Israeli company that seems to have something to offer to enterprises, event organizers, and tourist groups.

Let's immediately say why we decided to talk about Polly Tour not only because of the trident. The company turned out to have a serious set of charter transportation: regular routes for organizations, employee transportation, buses for conferences and corporate days, tourist groups, weddings, excursions, Ben-Gurion, vehicles for passengers with limited mobility. This is no longer a story about a symbol on a bus, but about a service that…

Are you 60+ in Israel and still working? Perhaps the pension fund can already pay you money

Many residents of Israel approach the age of 60 with the feeling that retirement is something distant, complicated, and almost inevitably bureaucratic. As long as there is work, a salary, and a familiar rhythm of life, it seems that dealing with pension funds can be postponed: closer to 67 years, after dismissal, or already when Bituach Leumi sends some documents.

But in reality, this approach often becomes the most costly mistake.

In Israel, the pension system is arranged so that a person can have several different sources of future income: state old-age benefits, a pension fund, Bituach Menahalim, Kupat Gemel, Keren Hishtalmut, severance pay, old savings from previous employers, and additional insurance or pension programs. Some of this money people remember, some they have long forgotten, and some programs they only learn about after a professional review.

And here arises the main question for those who have already turned 60 or are approaching this age: can one already start receiving a pension from the pension fund and continue working?

The answer may be unexpected. In some cases — yes, this possibility is indeed worth checking. But this does not mean that everyone over…

sTDe | NAnews — event poster of Israel: new guide to events, cities, and tickets

A new event platform sTDe | NAnews is emerging in Israel — an event listing where you can search for concerts, theater, stand-up, festivals, exhibitions, and family programs. The project helps guide you from the question "where to go?" to choosing a city, venue, and ticket.
sTDe | NAnews — Israel's event listing: a new guide to events, cities, and tickets

In Israel, concerts, performances, stand-up evenings, festivals, exhibitions, lectures, family programs, city celebrations, and chamber meetings take place almost every day. But for someone who wants to choose an event, a single announcement is often not enough. They need to understand where the event is taking place, when it starts, how much tickets cost, whether the event is suitable for children, if there is a convenient venue, which city is best to choose a date, and whether it is worth planning a trip in advance.

This is exactly why sTDe | NAnews is being developed — a new event listing in Israel, where events will be organized into a clear system: by genres, cities, dates, venues, tickets, and thematic selections. The project is available at and is being created as a convenient navigator for the cultural, urban, and…

Ukrainian ‘Zdybanka of Gratitude’ will gather Tel Aviv on October 17, 2026: fair, volunteers, and gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine and Israel

Fair, Ukrainian culture, new acquaintances, and support for the military — on October 17, 2026, in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, the 'Ukrainian Gathering of Gratitude' will take place. The meeting is dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine and Israel, and the organizers invite everyone interested to attend. For those who want to do more than just be a guest, they offer the opportunity to get involved — to come to the fair with their project or join the volunteer team.

Author: Pavel Shveiko

The word 'Zdybanka' may be unfamiliar to an Israeli reader who does not speak Ukrainian. It comes from the Ukrainian 'zdybatysia' — to meet, to see. But in Israel, a recognizable format has already formed around this word: people gather together for Ukrainian culture, communication, music, books, initiatives, and projects that usually exist each in their own circle.

On October 17, 2026, such a meeting will take place in Jaffa — at Ha-Tsorfim, 29, near the Nothing: space.

It starts at 14:00 and ends at 19:00. The fair will operate until 18:00.

This time, the name was also chosen deliberately — 'Ukrainian Gathering of Gratitude', Zdybanka of Gratitude. It is dedicated to the people defending Ukraine and…

Jewish Open Space in Kyiv: Yiddish, DJ, Rosh Hashanah, and a festival backed by the Messianic Jewish community

In Kyiv, two September days of Jewish Open Space took place. In the photos, everything looks quite easy: young people are laughing, someone is dancing, Yiddish is heard, there is a playground nearby, workshops. After the second weekend, the organizers wrote that despite the security situation, the festival took place and became a 'place of support' for people.

We could end on that note — a Jewish festival in wartime Kyiv, what more is there to explain.

But then half of the story would be lost.

Jewish Open Space has been held for more than ten years, growing from a single Kyiv event into a program in several countries, and its organizer is not CHABAD, not a state Jewish structure of Ukraine, and not a secular cultural fund. The festival grew around the Kyiv Jewish Messianic Community, whose participants believe in Yeshua — Jesus — as the Messiah of Israel. The community itself does not hide this, but on the festival poster, the religious component is much less noticeable than the music and apples with honey.

The author of NANews Pavel Shveyko explored where a simple urban Jewish festival ends and the history of the community itself begins. No spoiler needed here: the boundary…

14 senators demanded that Trump cancel Putin’s invitation to the G20 — ‘Russia is helping Iran attack American military personnel’

In Washington, Republicans and Democrats issued a joint appeal to the President of the United States. They demand not to allow Putin to attend the December G20 summit in Miami and directly link this issue to the Russian war against Ukraine and military support for Iran. For Israel, there is a separate aspect in this story: Moscow's alleged assistance to Tehran is now featured in the official appeal of American lawmakers as an argument against diplomatic rapprochement with the Kremlin.

Author: Anton Pshedynsky
Seven Republicans and seven Democrats. Why they appealed to Trump

On September 25, 2026, the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations published an appeal from fourteen senators to President Donald Trump. The authors of the letter demanded a review of the invitation to Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit, which is to be held on December 14-15 in Miami, Florida.

The initiators of the appeal were two representatives from different parties: Jeanne Shaheen, a senator from the Democratic Party elected from New Hampshire and representing the Democratic minority in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Roger Wicker, a Republican from Mississippi, chairman of the Senate Armed…

9 kilometers to Kherson, 20 to food: how the Russian occupation turned the Ukrainian Oleshky into a city on the brink of starvation

In the Russian-occupied Oleshky of the Kherson region, people are making soup from wild greens, trying to walk twenty kilometers on mined roads for food, and the hospital is asking residents to bring at least some grains for bedridden patients. The last successful food delivery took place on May 26, 2026. Since then, normal supply has not been restored.

Author: Alexander Khmelnitsky

On September 25, 2026, the American TV channel ABC News published a major report on the humanitarian catastrophe in the city. On the same day, new testimonies from residents, volunteers, and representatives of the Ukrainian administration appeared. The Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O'Flaherty, demanded the safe evacuation of civilians and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

In Oleshky itself, according to the Ukrainian city military administration, about two thousand people remain. Together with the surrounding villages — about six thousand, including 182 children. The exact number cannot be established: communication is almost nonexistent, people disappear from the sight of relatives, some manage to get through minefields on their own.

All this is happening…

Whose is the Alexander Courtyard in Jerusalem after all? And will Netanyahu be able to «uphold the interests of the State of Israel» in this case?

“Wait, doesn't all the land in Israel belong to the state? How then is it transferred to someone?”

This is the most common and absolutely logical question.
And the short answer to it is — no, not all the land in Israel belongs to the state.

...

Let's say right away, in Israel, a petition/open appeal by Israeli citizens to the government is gaining momentum, demanding "to stop the transfer of the Alexander Courtyard to Russia and related IPPO structures", because they believe that such a transfer "threatens Israel's security" and poses "risks associated with external influence and the political interests of Moscow and related organizations".
"Protect Israel from the Russian threat: stop the transfer of the Alexander Courtyard to Hamas supporters"
“Protect Israel from the Russian threat: stop the transfer of the Alexander Courtyard to Hamas supporters”

here it is (Hebrew) -

...

Let's return to land ownership.
Where did this myth come from

In Israel, indeed:

• most of the land is under state management;

• there is the Israel Land Authority;

• land is often not sold, but leased long-term.

Because of this, there is a feeling that
“everything state-owned means the state…
