I know the feeling. I miss my days in the USAF, biting cold wind, swaying on the top of a cherry-picker trying to install an HF radio box at the top of the tail of a KC135. It was tough, it was hard being a young man during the 80s and knowing your job was important and deadly all at the same time. I don't mind having had the experiences I had since, though, they built on top of the foundation that I got from service.
