A 3-year old, his mother, & his grandmother were speaking Spanish while shopping at a dept store. They’re US citizens from Puerto Rico, but were taken by ICE.
It wasn’t until they were in detention that the mother was allowed to produce ID & birth certificates.
“I’m so sorry,” she was told.
The family had to order & pay for a ride back home.
What may have happened if she didn’t have their birth certs. -how certain ppl feel forced to carry birth certifs.

Puerto Rico needs to consider seriously what it’s doing as part of the US .
