It wasn’t until they were in detention that the mother was allowed to produce ID & birth certificates.
“I’m so sorry,” she was told.
The family had to order & pay for a ride back home.

Years ago, Google caught Microsoft scraping their search results for spelling corrections. They did a "sting" by inserting a bogus result for a honeypot search term, searching for the honeypot term repeatedly in IE (so the Bing Toolbar could see it), and then demonstrating that Bing picked up their honeypot result.
They called it the "Bing sting". No one cared.

Starting on January 19, 2025 Facebook's internal policy makers decided that Linux is malware and labelled groups associated with Linux as being "cybersecurity threats". Any posts mentioning DistroWatch and multiple groups associated with Linux and Linux discussions have either been shut down or had many of their posts removed.

So while using my #pinephonepro I was swapping phones and while i was putting the sim in this happened. Confused, I tried to glue the board together with nail glue..... #protip that was a really bad idea. This was the before picture. It ended up melting parts of the card exposing the board under the plastic. To say that I amazed the #tmobile reps is an understatement.
I walk in the door and quickly became the center piece of the entire room as reps started calling their other reps to enjoy my misfortune. None of them had seen anything like this...

"Federal agents arrived at the school as they were searching for an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video, according to a CPS source. Agents had visited a home and were told the person was a student at Hamline, the source said.

Mass deportations were one of Trump’s most controversial promises. Now, they claim they have begun, touting deportation flights on military aircraft and ICE’s arrest of more than 500 people on Thursday.
But deportation flights went out all the time under the Biden administration — all that’s new here is the use of military aircraft. And 500 arrests are, essentially, a normal day for ICE, at or below their daily average during the final year of the Biden administration.
