Every time I see a company getting a boycott because of their business practices being bad, their poor treatment of employees, or the CEO going full fascist bootlicker I can't actually JOIN the protest because nearly every one of them are companies I never actually used in the first place. I don't use uber, doordash, airbnb. I haven't given any money to proton so I doubt they'll actually care that much when I move to a different service. I only gave Blizzard like $60 through my entire life before joining the boycott over the hong kong firings all those years ago.

I guess I just have a natural aversion to these things? Like I wanted to use uber a few times in bad weather instead of walking to work but they wanted $9 for a five minute ride. Doordash is so expensive compared to just ordering from the pizzeria directly. I'd rather go to a motel 6 than some random dude's house he put up on airbnb. Blizzard games suck.

If we ever have to boycott Valve I think I'll just turn Amish. Won't be able to cope.
