Interesting topic & summary! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I can recommend some artists who regularly share their lovely work here:
@orbite @jaimeJ @RuWeng1987 ๐Ÿ˜Š

@natureshelperokanaganhighlands shares cool homestead impressions ๐Ÿ˜€

To find posts & profiles about the content you are interested in - you can try hashtags like: #history, #literature...

Have you tried using filters? You could filter out keywords related to politics, war...

I love following @sinituulia
She regularly posts stuff about her victorian sewing projects,her three cats and she writes the most poetic ALT-texts I've read so far.

@Limnobotanik I certainly wouldn't call myself a normal person by any stretch of the word (and you kind of need money for culture, theatre, fine dining and art generally, I used to love going to the opera but it's not for me any more and I barely know anyone for whom it's still an option), and do occasionally yell about capitalism - I absolutely despise what it's done to the craft of sewing, the art of fashion, and anyone wanting to make a living off them without being screwed over - but try to balance out anything negative with something to actually do about it. (Seek out second hand and vintage fashion, learn to make your own, know what your style is and stick to it, pay people for their craft, respectively!)

I mostly post cats, crafts and joy, though. The world is a harsh enough place as it is, I'd prefer to be an island of solace in it.

@Limnobotanik Also: "she writes the most poetic ALT-texts I've read so far"
Thank you :blob_cat_heart: โค๏ธ That's probably the best compliment I've received this year!

This is a joke, isn't it? Please tell me this is a joke. You have problems with people with mental disabilities? You prefer fashion and fine dining? Maybe the #Fediverse isn't for you.

@junglecat_rant ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ The difference between Facebook and Friendica is that, on Facebook, I had much more control over my newsfeed. If I blocked someone, I didn't see any of his posts or comments. If I wanted to see a conversation, I had to click on it first. It wasn't a jumbled mixture of conversations. Here, I have no way of shutting that off. I see conversations whether I want to or not. While I have an option to join all comments together to read the conversation in context, I can't turn it off. With some things, such as gaming, programming, etc. I either have no interest in it or just don't know about it. But with things such as politics, it's downright annoying as I specifically don't want to follow all of that.

I don't know friend I a as client but usually there are a lot of filter settings that prevent your time line being overcrowded with stuff you are not interested in. My personsl feed contains only massages/posts from people or institutions I follow. I'm using Tusky for Android.
Unfortunately or fortunately I never used FB and I don't know how exactly they organized their feed.

@junglecat_rant ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ I'm using TweeseCake. There are different timelines, but the problems still persist. Granted, I can narrow things a bit by not reading the Federated Timeline and reading Home and Notifications, but it's still scattered and I still see various conversations. I know Friendica has circles, but I've never really delved into those. As for Facebook, I use the Basic Mobile site (not app), which was very accessible and uncluttered. Their main page is a mess, and since they shut down the Basic Mobile version, I haven't really posted there.
