Friendica performance?

I just registered on friendica.world and the performance is, sad to say, abysmal. Takes around 1 minute for ANY page to open and the site throws internal servers errors left and right.

Anyone's had any better luck with Friendica, or is this what's expected?

The instance is working good in my experience. It's much more responsive than a few weeks earlier.

Oh, hey! Fancy seeing you here! 😀

I noticed it's gotten better since I registered, but still seems iffy. Works fine for 20 minutes, then slows down to a crawl again for a bit.

Do you know of any larger/faster instances? I'm looking into making a push for "leave FB" with my friend group, but I don't see this, with its performance issues, as something they'd ever agree switching to.
