Sea lion enjoying the herring spawn last year on the east coast of Vancouver Island, BC. This spectacular annual event happens between February and April and peaks in March. It attracts many species, humans included.
I am really looking forward to it.

“Why are you pointing that gun at me?!”
“Sensible precaution. Suit off, no sudden moves.”
“It’s ME, Jan, I’m real. Your wife, I’m not a polymorph!”
“That’s exactly what a polymorph would say. Now, very slowly I want you to pick up the cat.”
The cat hissed at the humanoid and made a clawed swipe at a face.
“Okay, you pass. Welcome home, love!”

Perplexity’s new Deep Research tool is free to use.
The AI search engine’s new tool “performs dozens of searches, reads hundreds of sources, and reasons through the material to autonomously deliver a comprehensive report.” It’s similar to the research tools offered by ChatGPT and Google Gemini, but it’s available to free users with a “limited number of answers” each day.

Move over cinnamon rolls, Cara Cara orange rolls are where it is at! Made by my sweetie for Valentine's. Used Janine's Mill bread flour for the first time yielded an insanely fluffy and perfect dough. Do yourself a favor if you have the means, throw out your AP flour and buy some high quality stone milled flours.
