This is seriously ridiculous! I can't read most of the pinned posts on my profile, either when signed in or when viewing my profile anonymously. Yet I can read the comments and replies, so I know they're still there! I tried this with both Chrome and Firefox. Fortunately, I saved them, so I just have to find them. Otherwise, I would have to entrust someone sighted with my log-in information and have him send me the posts, and no, I can't ask my parents. They're lucky they know how to turn on a computer!

@Cynni Thank you. I don't know if this is a screen reader problem, as is usually the case here, or if it's universal. But I've switched over to blob.cat now, so it shouldn't be an issue. It's a shame, as Friendica really is a lovely site with great features. It's just not great for screen reader users. However, the developer has promised to work on it, so I am not deleting my account hre. But it will take a long time, as the entire front end (what users see) must be rewritten.

While studying photographs taken in January, Clyde Tombaugh discovers Pluto, making it by far the first known object in the Kuiper belt. It was immediately hailed as the ninth planet.

However, its planetary status was questioned when it was found to be much smaller than expected. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) formally redefined the term planet to exclude dwarf planets such as Pluto.

I've been on Blob.cat for about two days now. Yes, it has its problems, and some of them are downright frustrating. But it's only because they are so easy to fix! All it would take is a few labels, and in one case, figuring out why the search button doesn't work. But if I had to compare blob.cat to Friendica as far as interface, there would be no competition. The only truly easy thing I can do on Friendica is search for and follow people and tags. The edit box is right there on the main page, which is the one and only thing I can't do on Blob.cat. But try editing a post, or going to notifications, and it becomes a nightmare, with a terrible menu bar that barely works, and trying to find the edit link and then the box to type in! And let's not forget the fact that I can't even read my own posts on my profile!
