Stecker wohl zur Kategorie "Cinch Jones" gehört. Nur gefunden habe ich
ihn noch nicht. Ein sechspoliger Stecker mit flachen Pins, von denen
einer um 90° gedreht ist.

There is a very high chance that the coding AI was (also) trained with Open Source, thus also wirh various GPL and derivatively licensed code.
Thus everything the AI writes is a derivative of said code (even if with an additional layer of derivative).
Thus all AI-generated code of MS contains derivative work of copylefted code,
and thus has to be licensed under the same license. Right?
here is my prophecy for Microsoft and Windows - they will eventually fire everyone but sales people, have single developer take Ubuntu, change wallpaper and call it Windows 12.
In is just too expensive to develop OS. They already gave up on browser and rebranded chromium. I think the OS is next.

Hier in der Stadt schon Elektrobusse als reguläre Linienbusse im Stadtverkehr gesichtet. Etwas kleiner als die alten Verbrenner, die dafür nach und nach ausgemustert werden. Dürfen gerne mehr werden.
Warum sind Elektroautos als Privatauto so teuer? Einige Wohlhabende haben solche. Aber Normalverdiener nicht. Entsprechend sauber oder schmutzig ist der Stadtteil, je nach Durchschnittseinkommen.

Hey #OSM and #osmand community. My sighted partner and I are getting into osmand. Paired it with #BRouter for the rides with our tandem-bike.
This morning we were wondering if there is a navigation profile or if we could easily create it which allows routing by food which prioritizes street crossings with tactile markers and/or audible trafic lights.
In my opinion as a #blind pedestrian that would be a very nice thing to have.

My favorite pet peeve currently with Microsoft is they show dialogs with a cursor, even when focus is not there and you cannot type in the window
Actually it will take multiple seconds from selected to being able to input anything
Windows is so fucked up.
Teams is the worst though, always "look at this new silly function", and ohh you joined another team, here are frickin all of the hints and shite again

# Switching to #linux was the best decision of my life, and i'm not exaggerating.
I've learned more in the past four years than in seven years of using #windows. What i've learned is valuable and useful. And i regret nothing but that i didn't switch earlier.
Switching to linux doesn't have to be fun. It will be exhausting, time consuming and frustrating at most times. And this is exactly what you should want.
Trying, breaking and fixing things are essential parts of your learning process. Daily driving linux is a daily learning experience.
I have a #learningdisorder which made me feel useless to the #IT industry. This year i had an internship which changed that completely. My #impostersyndrome and doubts are gone. And i can't even describe how good this feels.

Meta have been asking some users to confirm their identity with a 'video selfie', & for supposed account recovery. Soon, more users will be asked with threat of blocking or deleting their account as Meta prepares to launch their facial recog glasses (soon on shelves).
But it's not just about feeding their new product. Meta are harvesting biometric data on a vast scale, perhaps globally, & in full cohort with a dangerous regime.

I'm trying my hardest not to use any AI, because I don't believe there's an ethical way to use it considering the amount of damage and harm it creates.
One thing I'm noticing lately is AI popping up in things that I use without the option to opt out*.
Can people please leave comments about where they've noticed AI happening, so that I can also be aware of those things.. like it took me a minute to realise that Co-pilot was actually AI and not just a fancy form of spellcheck, I've just heard about Duolingo and Audible, and the Ask Tiktok search thing is also AI.
What else do I need to be aware of?

Recommendation systems used by Spotify, Netflix etc. often use machine learning, which is lumped under the umbrella of "AI".

They're not like the LLMs (Large Language Models) like Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Gemini etc) that have become the default definition of AI at the moment.
There is also types of AI in how most smart phones take and process photos that can sometimes result in some weird results.
So avoiding all varieties of AI is almost impossible. Avoiding LLMs is easier in web search. I use DuckDuckGo as my default search engine and there's an opt out of its use of LLM. However I think all browsers are gonna imbed LLMs soon (Brave does but again there's an opt out). Firefox will prob soon.
So AI/machine learning may not necessarily be a bad thing depending on its intended application, source data, who creates it and who is the intended user/target, and any power imbalance between those two.
