We aren’t just defending the right to read anymore. We’re defending… *checks notes* facts. Great. We’re now defending facts. They’re rewriting history before our eyes and they’re conveniently leaving out anything that makes white men look bad, like slavery. We all need to have a talk with ourselves and figure out how far we are each willing to go to preserve the truth.

Obviously Jeff Bezos never really understood the responsibilities & duties of the free press as an essential part of a democratically governed society.
And possibly arising conflicts of interests with his other businesses dependent on contracts with politically changing administrations.

Jung-Koch-Quentell charts have now their published wiki page!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jung-Koc…
Heinrich Jung, allegedly painted all
the charts.
Von Koch was regarded an eccentric (and his family was really rich).
Quentell was a teetotaler and active in numerous associations.
I did not find any sources how they actually met and worked together.

Jung and von Koch were both founding members of a natural sciences association
Von Koch recommended Quentell for a temporary research position in Italy.
I learned that the first publisher Morian ratted out his daughter to
the Nazi officials because he did not like her dating a Turkish student.

Some Prussian ministry highly recommended the charts early on, which was probably a reason for their success.
The post-war charts were done from scratch by Carl Morian (the publisher's
brother) and one Georg Heldmann the successor of von Koch. All original
designs and plates fell victim to air raids.
I learned that teacher education began at the age of 16.
Unfortunately, no ants in the JKQ booklet of 1903 of my local library..

It's time to stop sharing intelligence with the USA. As part of the "Five Eyes" alliance, they've shifted from ally to security threat.
#Trump and his administration now pose a significant risk to our national security
In reassessing our commitments, strengthening our independent intelligence capabilities has never been more crucial
Safeguarding our nation's security depends on updating our alliances to reflect current realities
