Claudia Jones: I was deported from the USA because as a Negro woman, Communist of West Indian descent, I was a thorn in their side in my opposition to Jim Crow racist discrimination. I was deported because I urged the prosecution of lynchers rather than prosecution of Communists. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Friedrich Engels: Private property must, therefore, be abolished and in its place must come the common utilization of all instruments of production and the distribution of all products according to common agreement - in a word, what is called the communal ownership of goods. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Lenin: To confine Marxism to the theory of class struggle means curtailing Marxism, reducing it to something acceptable to the bourgeoisie. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Kim Jong-Un: The best methods of turning misfortunes into blessings and adversity into prosperity should be found in the simple opinions of the people. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Karl Marx: ..when one speaks of private property, one thinks of dealing with something external to man. When one speaks of labor, one is directly dealing with man himself. This new formulation of the question already contains its solution. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Karl Marx: But the essence of man is no abstraction inherent in each separate individual. In its reality it is the ensemble (aggregate) of social relations. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Gerrard Winstanley: For what you call the Law is but a club of the rich over the lowest of men, sanctifying the conquest of the earth by a few and making their theft the way of things. But over and above these pitiful statutes of yours that enclose the common land and reduce us to poverty to make you fat stands the Law of Creation, which renders judgement on rich and poor alike, making them one. For freedom is the man who will thus turn the world upside down, therefore no wonder he has enemies. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Marilyn Monroe: An actress is not a machine, but they treat you like a machine. A money machine. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

R. F. Andrews: The rich Jews, just like the rich Russians and the rich of all countries, are united in trampling upon, oppressing and dividing the workers. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
R. F. Andrews: The growing difficulties of the capitalists in all countries, multiplied by their ever-sharpening international rivalries, are prompting them to seek a way out through Fascist and nationalist dictatorships in their respective countries. Nearly all the Fascist propaganda bodies which are preparing the way for Fascism in Great Britain are quite openly anti-Semitic. This is not merely blind imitation of Hitler. The Fascists and the capitalist class generally would pay dearly for the chance of setting the British workers against some fancied "alien intruder" and thus diverting attacks from themselves. Those who imagine that there are no backward jingo sentiments among the British workers, on which the Fascists can play, are only fooling themselves. All the more reason, then, for every class-conscious worker realising the nature of the capitalist trap that lies behind the stinking bait of anti-Jew propaganda. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
R. F. Andrews: Class-conscious workers stand for the complete unity of the workers of all countries in each and every educational, industrial, and political organisation. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Harold Pinter: It means the brainwashing is so thorough we are programmed to swallow a pack of lies. If we don’t recognise propaganda, we may accept it as normal and believe it. That’s the submissive void. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Bertolt Brecht: Red Rosa now has vanished too. Where she lies is hid from view. She told the poor what life is about. And so now the rich have rubbed her out. (Epitaph 1919 - poem about Luxemburg after she was killed by right-wing death squads in 1919) wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Harold Pinter: US foreign policy is best defined as follows: kiss my arse or I'll kick your head in. It is as simple and as crude as that. What is interesting about it is that it’s so incredibly successful. It possesses the structures of disinformation, use of rhetoric, distortion of language, which are very persuasive, but are actually a pack of lies. It is very successful propaganda. They have the money, they have the technology, they have all the means to get away with it, and they do. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Stalin: Nor will there be planned economy. What is planned economy? What are some of its attributes? Planned economy tries to abolish unemployment. Let us suppose it is possible, while preserving the capitalist system, to reduce unemployment to a certain minimum. But surely, no capitalist would ever agree to the complete abolition of unemployment, to the abolition of the reserve army of unemployed, the purpose of which is to bring pressure on the labour market, to ensure a supply of cheap labour. You will never compel a capitalist to incur loss to himself and agree to a lower rate of profit for the sake of satisfying the needs of the people. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Milton Friedman: The combination of economic and political power in the same hands is a sure recipe for tyranny. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Milton Friedman: The unions might be good for the people who are in the unions but it doesn't do a thing for the people who are unemployed. Because the union keeps down the number of jobs, it doesn't do a thing for them. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Milton Friedman: Inflation is taxation without representation. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Thomas Sankara: I hear the roar of women’s silence. I sense the rumble of their storm and the fury of their revolt. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Antony Sutton: The United States has, in spite of the Constitution and its supposed constraints, become a quasi-totalitarian state. While we do not (yet) have. the overt trappings of dictatorship, the concentration camps and the knock on the door at midnight, we most certainly do have threats and actions aimed at the survival of non-Establishment critics, use of the Internal Revenue Service to bring dissidents in line, and manipulation of the Constitution by a court system that is politically subservient to the Establishment. It is in the pecuniary interests of the international bankers to centralize political power — and this centralization can best be achieved within a collectivist society, such as socialist Russia, national socialist Germany, or a Fabian socialist United States. There can be no full understanding and appreciation of twentieth-century American politics and foreign policy without the realization that this financial elite effectively monopolizes Washington policy. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Antony Sutton: The center of political power, as authorized by the U.S. Constitution, is with an elected Congress and an elected President, working within the framework and under the constraints of a Constitution, as interpreted by an unbiased Supreme Court. We have in the past assumed that political power is consequently carefully exercised by the Executive and legislative branch, after due deliberation and assessment of the wishes of the electorate. In fact, nothing could be further from this assumption. The electorate has long suspected, but now knows, that political promises are worth nothing. Lies are the order of the day for policy implementors. Wars are started (and stopped) with no shred of coherent explanation. Political words have never matched political deeds. Why not? Apparently because the center of political power has been elsewhere than with elected and presumably responsive representatives in Washington, and this power elite has its own objectives, which are inconsistent with those of the public at large. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Antony Sutton: The total result of this manipulation of society by the Establishment elite has been four major wars in sixty years, a crippling national debt, abandonment of the Constitution, suppression of freedom and opportunity, and creation of a vast credibility gulf between the man in the street and Washington, D.C. While the transparent device of two major parties trumpeting artificial differences, circus-like conventions, and the cliche of "bipartisan foreign policy" no longer carries credibility, and the financial elite itself recognizes that its policies lack public acceptance, it is obviously prepared to go it alone without even nominal public support. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Antony Sutton: Since World War II we have seen the Korean War and the Vietnamese War — meaningless, meandering no-win wars costly in dollars and lives, with no other major purpose but to generate multibillion-dollar armaments contracts. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Santiago Ramón y Cajal: All outstanding work, in art as well as in science, results from immense zeal applied to a great idea. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Thomas Sankara: In these tempestuous times, we cannot leave our enemies of the past and the present the monopoly on thought, imagination, and creativity. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
Mao Zedong: There are innumerable principles of Marxism, but in the final analysis they can be summed up in one sentence: 'To rebel is justified.' For thousands of years everyone said, 'Oppression is justified, exploitation is justified, rebellion is not justified.' From the time that Marxism appeared on the scene, this old judgment was turned upside down, and this is a great contribution. This principle was derived by the proletariat from its struggles, but Marx drew the conclusion. In accordance with this principle, there was then resistance, there was struggle, and socialism was realized. What is Comrade Stalin's contribution? He developed this principle, developed Marxism-Leninism, and produced a very clear, concrete, and living doctrine for the oppressed people of the whole world. This is the complete doctrine for establishing a revolutionary front, overthrowing imperialism, overthrowing capitalism, and establishing a socialist society. wordsmith.social/protestation/…
