It has been a while since we released our last ISO, Endeavour Neo, and even though this new ISO comes with many improvements and technical challenges we had to tackle, like resolving issues that came with Linux kernel 6.13, the Xfce 4.20 update, sfdisk and Calamares' kpmcore, those challenges weren't the main reason for the long hiatus between Endeavour Neo and Me

Say what you want to say about Nvidia

But getting a new update on my 2019 #nvidia #sheildtv was not on my bingo card this year. I'll wait a few day to see potential bug reports, but that's pretty awesome to receive updates and features this late in the a game. The 2015 model also received an update! That's TEN YEARS!

I really wish there as a good #androidtv replacement though. I've actually just started thinking about it given it's starting to show it's age.

I went to a local Latino restaurant yesterday to get some takeout and saw a bunch of handwritten signs saying they were going to be closed on Monday to support the community.

The waitress said there was a movement to skip work and not spend money this Monday Feb 3 to protest the attacks on Latinos. I hadn't heard of that and didn't find much mention online. I think it's the idea by some random person in DC? I found the image above on facebook or somewhere equally horrible. Anyway I'm just posting bc this is the only protest I've seen in my area, the Democrats have been completely silent so all that's left is some rando on the other side of the country.

I’ve seen these flying fish clips before and afraid I always suspect a member of the film crew has thrown it for effect. I don’t think the impact from a small fish would be enough to throw somebody to the ground.

A 3-year old, his mother, & his grandmother were speaking Spanish while shopping at a dept store. They’re US citizens from Puerto Rico, but were taken by ICE.

It wasn’t until they were in detention that the mother was allowed to produce ID & birth certificates.

“I’m so sorry,” she was told.

The family had to order & pay for a ride back home.

Years ago, Google caught Microsoft scraping their search results for spelling corrections. They did a "sting" by inserting a bogus result for a honeypot search term, searching for the honeypot term repeatedly in IE (so the Bing Toolbar could see it), and then demonstrating that Bing picked up their honeypot result.

They called it the "Bing sting". No one cared.

...so one year ago...

So while using my #pinephonepro I was swapping phones and while i was putting the sim in this happened. Confused, I tried to glue the board together with nail glue..... #protip that was a really bad idea. This was the before picture. It ended up melting parts of the card exposing the board under the plastic. To say that I amazed the #tmobile reps is an understatement.

I walk in the door and quickly became the center piece of the entire room as reps started calling their other reps to enjoy my misfortune. None of them had seen anything like this...
