Problem seeing photos here
OK, why am I not seeing the photos I put in my posts, actually IN my posts? The code is here in the post, but they're all under the Photos tab. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make them show up in the post itself?

I just posted a screenshot in that comment and I can't even see the screenshot. here's a screenshot of the missing screenshot, LOL

Well, here's a screenshot of your screenshot and of your screenshot of the missing screenshot, all of which I can see. Can you see any of them?

You didn't by any chance tick the box under Settings > Display > Content/Layout > Hide pictures with empty alternative text?

When you upload and attach an image to a post on Friendica there is no nice interface for adding alt-text like there is on Mastodon. You have to manually add it to the BBcode:

[img=https://friendica.world/photo/preview/1024/9320632]Alt text description goes here.[/img]

If you upload the photos to an album you can edit the photo there and anything you put in the "Caption" field will become the alt-text for that image when you attach it to a post in the future.

Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit. I did have that checked, I thought it meant OTHER PEOPLE's stuff to be hidden. That explains why I was going over and adding the captions in the album after posting. I didn't realize that you have to put it directly in the URL here. I will be doing that from now on. Thank you so much for helping me figure this out, because I certainly don't want to post without ALT! I appreciate your assistance!
