New to this- and a question

Hi everyone! I’m an immigrant from Facebook and Instagram and so far like what I see here. But it’s different, and I’m old enough to have that be annoying. Is there actually an app that I can download?

I’m also interested in finding my people, so any tips on searching for groups sharing interests?

Thank you so much!

I am also new; yet probably younger. If you have an IPhone you can basically add the site to your homescreen and it will provide and icon that mimics app like behaviour. i think using the search bar and typing hashtag topics might help like #philosophy for me. Good luck and feel free to reach out and I will help as best I can.

@ruud @tinagw make sure you have the 0.4.0 version when you download it. The F-droid file is outdated. They are working on getting an app in the play store.

I just downloaded Raccoon for friendica via the F-droid app, and got v.0.4.0.

(I'm trying out the Raccoon, and Fedilab (from Google Play), but may settle for Firefox's "Add to start page" ... which is the one I'm posting this comment from, as the Raccoon gave me "An unexpected error occurred".)

Ah. I can't find any iOS apps listed on [https://friendi.ca/resources/mobile-clients/]
— I'm unsure of how iOS works with "Add to Home screen", but
go to [https://friendica.world/], then check if something like that is available in the browser settings menu thingie?
This basically gives you a direct-link to that page. Like a bookmark, that you can access "directly". 😅

Hm. I found this: [https://wiki.friendi.ca/faq/friendica].
There are iOS clients listed a bit down. Maybe try some of them out?
