Hello. Is there anyone out there?

I'm struggling with the recent changes at Facebook. But I'm not a twitter type guy. I like the way Facebook allows us to share what we are doing and how I can keep in touch with friends. And how I can post to only friends.

So here I am, looking to see if Friendica is a platform for me.

Welcome! It's not too bad here. Would love to see my personal friends here but I'm not counting on that happening. It never does no matter what other platforms I try. 🫤

I have burned whatever technical and social capital I once had trying to make friends get off unethical platforms. Even though I have failed miserably in that, it doesn't stop me from trying to contribute to building communities on ethical platforms myself.
