De koepel van de zogenoemde Duitse fontein, die in 1900 in Istanbul werd neergezet ter gelegenheid van de tweede verjaardag van het bezoek van Kaiser Wilhelm II aan Istanbul in 1898. In Duitsland gebouwd en in onderdelen naar Turkije vervoerd en daar weer opgebouwd.

Keizer Wilhelm II vluchtte na de eerste wereldoorlog naar Nederland en overleed in Doorn (Utrecht) waar hij ook begraven is.
