@deFractal To be very blunt, this should be a great time for Canadian companies, universities and government agencies to be hiring the best American talent. Our immigration system already favours educated professionals who speak either English or French. And if you already have a job offer, it's that much easier. But our refugee system obviously puts priority on people whose safety is seriously at risk - from war, or political persecution , etc.

Canada’s asylum system helps people who have fled their countries because of a well-founded fear of persecution. Claiming asylum doesn’t guarantee you can stay in Canada. It isn’t a shortcut to get around immigration rules and procedures.

Juste un coup de force permis par une idéologie autoritaire majoritaire et le mépris grandissant de ceux qui nous gouvernent pour le respect des règles de droit.
Nous expliquons depuis des années les dangers de cette technologies qui s'infiltre, pas à pas, dans nos villes et nos vies. Mais ici le plus frappant n'est pas tant la défense de cette surveillance de masse par une majorité de député·es que la facilité déconcertante avec laquelle ils peuvent s'affranchir des promesses et des procédures qu'ils et elles ont eux-même édictées il y a deux ans (expérimentation, évaluation, etc.), afin d'imposer leur fuite en avant techno-sécuritaire.
Alors que l'opposition contre les technologies de surveillance est grandissante, que les observateurs des pays étrangers ont été très attentifs à ce déploiement inédit et dangereux de la VSA au nom de la sécurité des JO, que l'opposition grandit dans les villes de France, le gouvernement emmené par le ministre Philippe Tabarot et suivi par le rapporteur Guillaume Gouffier Valente, assume de mépriser toute forme d'engagement démocratique.

À chaque fois qu'on utilise une adresse en gmail, partage un Google docs, organise une visio sur Zoom ou Teams, on force les autres à livrer leurs données aux GAFAM.
Ce n'est pas du consentement libre et éclairé.
Alors ne faisons pas comme les entreprises : ne forçons pas nos copaines militant·es à utiliser de mauvais outils juste "parce que c'est plus pratique" et puis "tout le monde utilise ça".
et je rappelle que si votre document contient des liens HTML, le passage via Google Doc va les transformer pour y ajouter des trackers. C'est aussi le cas lorsque vous faites générer un PDF dudit document.

pas tout à fait, je ne trouve aucun argument actuel de ce dont je suis convaincu avec zoom, c'est à dire ce que tu décris / DP. Je refuse systématiquement les visio zoom... Mais pas d’arguments actuel précis...

@9x0rg Toutafé c'était plus pour insister sur les outils qu'on peut maîtriser (en particulier au sein des assos ; pour moi, "militant" est assez large). Quand c'est l'entreprise (ou, au hasard, l'Éduc Nat') qui t'impose des outils pourris (Zoom Google Docs et cie) tu ne peux pas faire grand chose en général. Mais quand c'est une asso où tu milites, c'est très différent.
Si si ! Jusqu'à ce que ma progéniture ait eu 15 ans, je me fendais d'une diatribe bien sentie à l'école en leur rappelant qu'en l'absence d'avoir atteint la majorité numérique, c'était donc aux parents d'accepter l'usage de Google et que je ne rappelais pas avoir signé le-dit papelard.
S'ensuivait un long imbroglio de "mais comment on va faire alors" poule et couteau qui se terminait par la suppression de l'émail Gmail pour ne conserver que le compte Google mais avec un email perso.
@9x0rg Je parle en tant que personnel de l'Éduc Nat. Moi une fois on a voulu m'imposer un conseil de classe sur Zoom alors qu'on avait un bbb sur l'ENT. J'ai fait le conseil de classe par tél 😎
Utilise deltachat, tu auras du chiffrement obligatoire si tu utilises un profil généré, et si tu utilises ton mail classique les mails seront chiffrés si possible. Tu ne vois jamais les clés, tout est géré pour toi automatiquement. Le serveur ne fournit aucun service nécessaire, tout se passe coté client. @Khrys
Écrire a quelq'un avec Gmail(tm) est même clairement une atteinte a sa Liberté et à son intimité numériques ! Lire les conditions d'usage c'est édifiant !

tout ça est trop bien en théorie. Par contre, si vous avez dans votre équipe quelqu'un comme moi qui aurait des besoins particuliers (et notamment en accessibilité numérique), vous avez deux alternatives : GAFAM ou discrimination. Et si j'ouvre une discussion ou un bug GitHub (oh pardon, Codeberg) à propos d'accessibilité, la plupart des cas j'entends soit « C'est trop niche, on a pas de projets / pas suffisamment de forces », soit »C'est open-source, s'il te le faut, répare-le toi-même ». Mais je peux pas faire tout moi-même, donc je paie les grandes entreprises. Parce que oui, c'est non seulement pratique, mais utilisable par tout le monde.
comment expliquer aux gens que c'est un problème que des entreprises collectent nos données ou nous matraquent de pub ? On me répond que ça ne les dérange pas ou qu'ils-elles s'en fichent.
Moi, je cherche toujours une alternative sérieuse à Outlook en entreprise. Ou si vous avez connaissance d'un retour d'expérience sur l'utilisation de Thunderbird en entreprise, je suis tout ouïe !

Je sens que je vais devoir quitter ma boîte qui s'oriente de plus en en plus vers un modèle où on pisse du code sale que faire du code propre et maintenable.
J'ai vraiment pas les cuillères en ce moment de changer de boîte mais ça devient intenable et ça impacte mon moral.

I soon realized that the highway alignment (northwest to southeast) would allow for a "highway to the stars" type of image, and started looking for an ideal overpass. This one caught my eye and I couldn't have been happier with the results. It took some time to capture, as it was necessary to get all of the Milky Way images without traffic on the highway, and then of course I needed to get a few images with light trails from the cars on the highway below.
I didn't have star tracker at the time, but other than that there are few things I would've changed considering the challenge and how it turned out!
