Another #Albo fail. Trump insults our soldiers' sacrifice, and Albo takes it in silence. His apologists are saying* "he said NATO troops, and we're not in NATO"

He is the lamest PM in my 50+ year political memory. Even Morrison and McMahon had more spine.

@PaulWay @treleanor in the context of the person behaving poorly being someone you have a personal connection to, calling it in can be an effective way to change their behaviour because it’s less shaming. It’s hard for people to imagine themselves doing better when they’re feeling shame. But if it’s not someone you can have a conversation with, and you don’t know anyone else who could do it, there isn’t an option other than call it out or let it go. Sometimes people reach a point where they just can’t let it go, and they need to name the problem behaviour.

They don't get it at all.

What they did was racist at best, supporting genocidal ideology is what it looks like to everyone out here; and that's what it is.

Using the Bondi terrorist attack as an excuse made it even worse. We've endured weeks of Zionist monsters linking Palestinians to the attack, despite no Palestinians being involved in the attack.

This is your typical "I'm sorry you took offence" apology, and reeks of Zionist damage control. We can all see what they're doing:

It's a shit-show: "but rather a continuing rapid shift in the national discourse around the breadth of freedom of expression in our nation"

Anyone can see that means "we're reading the room; the message is clear; haven't been told to silence you, because that's now how it's done, so we're painting it as something it's clearly not, but we're surprised when a bunch of clearly intellectual people instantly see through this, and join you in deciding not to play along. We're surprised that authors aren't complying like the media, but we're not as sharp as Louise Adler, who so clearly put it in her open resignation letter "its stenographers in the media".

Federal authorities have now excluded state authorities from the investigation, & VP Vance says Ross is already exonerated.

Just because Trump doesn't like the ruling of an independent international institution like the International Criminal Court.

ICC judges have been forcibly removed from most digital services, credit cards, and banks.

"Amazon, obliged to implement the sanctions as a US company, had cancelled her account."

Greta Thunberg detained by UK police over support for 'Palestine Action prisoners'

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was detained by British police on Tuesday while protesting outside the offices of Aspen Insurance in central London, after displaying a placard stating her support for Palestine Action prisoners and opposing genocide.

Organizers said she was arrested under the "UK’s terrorism legislation," as Palestine Action has been proscribed by the government since July, with hundreds arrested nationwide for expressing support for the group.

New lamps!💡 In 2023 I created a line of lamps for an interior design company. They wanted a very simple, classic, non-decorative surface and so it’s been fun to return to the idea with the addition of my Earth Tones and carved surfaces. The larger one is an order from a long-time collector who’s become a friend. The other one is for my mom’s birthday! #handmade #pottery

I did not consciously dress like the mug but considering the fact that I mostly wore neutral tones before I started working with #WildClay sig, it’s safe to say that the clay is speaking through my outfits these days. The pink, orange and olive green on the exterior are all natural clay tones. This mug is going to a home in Gainesville, Florida. A few pieces are left: www.potterybyosa.com

The handful of you who also follow my gardening account @PermaSolarPotter know that I’ve begun #spinning native cotton. I love plants in the hibiscus family and was given permission to gather some seeds from a plant at the community garden last spring. I started off spinning the fiber with a pencil and then got my neighbor to make me a spindle from scrap wood. The two ceramic whorls I made just came out of the kiln and my neighbor fashioned some dowels to fit them. #FiberArts

TGIF! I just finished writing up my newsletter that will go out tomorrow and I started it by mentioning that my pieces for this month’s collection had to share kiln space with a fair number of pieces by kids & students as well as my larger sculptural vessels—and also a lamp commission. Given the current temperature in Glasgow, I figured it's worth posting this plaque I came across on Westbank Quadrant about the origins of Lord Kelvin's ground-breaking research into absolute zero while he was a professor at Glasgow University. None of it is remotely true, but it's an amusing tale nonetheless, and with the current cold snap, it feels quite plausible!

Rev. Michael Woolf, senior minister of Lake Street Church of Evanston, was shot in the leg with a pepper ball by state police while protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility, Illinois. He writes for Religion News Service about why he continues to show up at Broadview, the atmosphere at protests there, and religious leaders' obligation to resist tyranny. "It is important for my neighbors who were abducted to know that we will not stop fighting for their release," he writes. "By my estimation, our country is somewhere in 1930s Germany. Fascism is growing in power, but we still have opportunities to resist."

Before I can switch gears and begin on my smoke fired pots, I’ve got to finish up this last batch. It’ll be a mixture of smaller sized tableware, a couple of lamps and some larger pieces for an upcoming show. I’m in the carving and decorating phase of the cycle now. Next comes the bisque fire, glazing and then firing one last time. The pottery cycle reminds me of the cycle of the moon. Last year, I sent some #clay that I collected to the University of West Georgia Archaeology Dept and they just sent me the results of their experiment. They tested how the addition of sponge spicules (or fired sea sponge) affects the strength of the fired clay. This method of tempering clay isn't common but evidence of its use can be found in pottery shards throughout the world, including here in SW #Florida. Anyway, how cool to be able to assist in scientific #research.
