I've been trying to write some more for my blog. I need to create some more (book) quote posts soon. And hopefully, tomorrow, I can visit the zoo and take a few new snaps that I could use for some more Silent Sunday posts... 😊

And yeah, I used AI to create the alt text again, as it's a bigger image and it contained a lot of info. Hopefully it will reflect properly on what I am sharing here.

Currently working on a post about my Spotify music stats, as autistic me just loves stats. 😂 And my monthly fitness (what fitness? 😂) update. I also need to grab the laptop soon to work on my journal post a bit. And, as mentioned earlier, I'll need to find more quotes to edit. And hopefully I can get some beautifully snaps tomorrow at the zoo. 🤞🏻

Ello sweet (and sporty) Friendos

Big bummer with the scale this morning. It had gone up again, well, the numbers of my weight, that is...

I know I've been getting less exercises the last week or so. First I dislocated my thumbs again, and I could not use my dumbbells because of that.

And the last few days, I've been "saving my spoons" so I could work on the garden, as I really needed to weed out the garden, and that takes a lot of me.

I know I need to get back to exercising more, but honestly, I've been feeling exhausted and not motivated lately. 😔

Today, I want another hour of work in the garden this morning. I'll need to walk to the supermarket, so that's some extra steps in. But I do feel a tad bläh, and even the higher number of the scale didn't get me more motivated, just because I feel so tired.

Ugh, I wish my body would be better and that my mind would be more positively thinking at the moment, so I could be more motivated to actually do exercises, when my body will allow...

Anywhoo... Let's see how today will go then...

I is back folks! 😁 Been getting to the notifications, and now I'm slowly getting ready to get busy at the gym.

I had a decent enough night, woke once after a silly dream, and had to go to the loo. Then I fell asleep again, and I don't think I had any weird dreams, until the alarm woke me up.

Today should be a fun day! No weeding today. I do need to give my arms and hands some rest, especially as my right elbow is displaying symptoms of being a "tennis elbow" at the moment. (mayoclinic.org/diseases-condit…) so it definitely needs a day of rest. Even though that's hard as the gardens aren't done yet! Well, the front bit is a long way done, it needs the last bit of weeds pulled out and then I need to rake it properly, which will be hard too, to get all the last bits out and to make it less like a moon surface 😂. But... That's planned for Tuesday morning.

Today, I wanna visit the Zoo for a few hours. I didn't go last month, as appointments kept popping up. So now, I wanna go! I wanted to go this Friday, but then mum's surgery got scheduled for Friday, so Monday it is. 😊 So this morning, I'll walk Arwen. Then I'll pack my little bag (ow I need to charge the battery for the camera that I wanna take, just in case), and then get ready to take Arwen to Nijmegen. I'll get Arwen to my parents and then I'll drive towards the zoo. It opens at 9, but I don't mind being a little earlier. When it opens, I'll get in, and then I hope it will be less busy for the first two hours. Last time, it got a lot busier around 10:30/11:00, so that was a good time for me to head home. 😊 When it's less crowded, it's way easier to relax and watch the animals in peace... I love it!

Makes me with that they could do an "autistic aimed morning" some days, where the "normal" folks aren't allowed, so things will be calmer, hopefully. I know they are doing more and more events with "less stimulus" moments, so yeah, a zoo without loads of screaming and running kids... 😂 Sounds like heaven... 😇 But that's just autistic me making big wishes... Not trying to be unkind, but I just hate it when kids start screaming at the animals to do things... They're not circus animals, and it can startle them so they move away from the noise, instead of "doing the fun things".... If that makes sense...

After the zoo, I'll pick up Arwen again. If dad is up, I hope he can help me to order a pair of prescription sunglasses. 😊 I got some money, and I do need prescription sunglasses, as the clip-on for the normal glasses is OK enough in winter but not in summer... But I want the special kind of glasses, as my eyes are so sensitive, so that's quite some money. But now I saved some and I got some as a thank you from an instance, so I can order me a pair. The pair I was drooling over, they're about €250 more expensive than the one I found now, so that's not gonna happen... But drooling can be nice. 😂 So fingers crossed 🤞🏻 we can order it together. 😊

If the hospital doesn't call me today, then I'll call them tomorrow. I will have waited two weeks and I'm very eager to know a date! So as much as I hate calls, I will prepare a script for that call, and then call them Tuesday morning after the 9 o'clock walkies.... Ugh... Already get sweaty hands thinking about it... But I need that date to be scheduled.... 😇

So first! The gym, SniffiVerse™ walkies, some relaxing, another walkies, and then the zoo! Yay! 😁

A nice start to the new week, me thinks! hope you all had a decent weekend and that the new week will start (or had started, for some of you) the best way possible!

I woke when about half an hour before the alarm. I didn't wake during the rest of my night, so it was a very decent sleep. The scale was not that kind, but I felt OK enough, so yeah, just getting on with the new day. I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and I let her out to do her business. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.

I checked the notifications on my social media, while I was waiting for the meds to kick in. When I had enjoyed the protein shake and the meds were starting to do their thing, I got to the seated bike. I rode half an hour. Followed by ten minutes on the massage chair. I switched shoes and then I got ready to head home again.

I washed up, changed clothes, and enjoyed my brekky. Arwen and I headed out for walkies. The weather was dry and all, but I quickly found out that a warmer jacket would have been better. There was a nasty cold wind... Brrrr... Fortunately, Arwen didn't stand still too much, so it was just my hands that got really cold.

When we got back, I relaxed on the couch a bit, as I felt so tired! Then I got my laptop and I worked on the journal blog post a bit. I walked with Arwen, and then I had a bite to eat. It was getting light out, so I prepared myself to work in the garden again.

I just started, when the neighbor and her dog came walking towards us. No nomnoms, but Arwen still wanted to join them... So I had a short disruption. After the short walk, I went back to the garden work. I worked for about 40-45 minutes, and then my body said a big "Nope" again. So I cleaned up, changed clothes, and got to the couch... A bit of relaxing, before Arwen wanted walkies again... 😉 This time, she was lucky, as we saw the neighbor again, and this time there were nomnoms. When we got back, I got my bag, and I walked to the supermarket.

I almost forgot one of the things that I went to the store for! 🫣 Thanks brain! Haha! Fortunately, I remembered before I had paid, so I quickly got it and, after paying, I went back home again. I relaxed a wee bit, and then my sweet friend was ready, so we went online with our Playstations. We had a very nice chat, she was working on the expedition, and I was just messing around and gathering some bones... Yeah, getting 80 for the expedition apparently wasn't the enough! 😂

I also managed to wash a small load and hang that while my friend was gathering her bones. The reception of my headphones is buggy when upstairs, so I tried to hurry, so we could chat properly again. 😊

Around 13:15, I went offline. Arwen told me that it was time go walkies. So I texted N that Arwen was getting restless. When they were ready, we headed out for walkies. The dogs had a fun time playing at the pond. But we really need some rain, as the pond is about 50 cm lower these days, as there hasn't been any rain for quite some time....

We got back, and I took my meds, and prepped everything for the next night. When I was almost crashing on the couch, I let Arwen out for a wee. Then I got to bed, and I quickly fell asleep.

I woke once due to a silly dream and needing to wee. When I woke again it was because my alarm was making noise. Guess I needed some sleep! So I got up and I started my new day/night, well, new week even!

A music Toot this time but I'll throw in some gaming as well.

I got my first weekly stats from the stats.fm app, so I wanted to share here. It's definitely not a surprising list. hihi...

I played a little NMS yesterday while chatting to @Nio who was working on the expedition. I decided to go out and find some more bones. I wanna build a exhibition kind of area and then play around with different kinds of fossil displays. I know it won't ever be as cool as others will be able to make it, as I truly suck with building in NMS (I struggle with the 3D aspect and how to connect things properly). But, it will be fun to try it out... 😊

Today there won't be any gaming. I've given myself a day off, no garden work, but I'll visit the zoo for a few hours. Hopefully the weather will be nice and it won't be too busy in the early hours... 🤞🏻

On Tuesday, I wanna do some garden work again. And then probably reward myself with some gaming. 😊

I had some hours of gaming earlier today/almost yesterday... 😊

@Nio and I started the expedition with the new update of No Man's Sky, expedition number 18: Relics.

We played solo but we chatted while we were going our way. 😊

So far I was/am really enjoying it. I got halfway phase two when it was time for me to log off. I usually just try to follow the phases, and if I get some bits (without knowing) from other phases first, then that's just easier when I do get to that phase.

But usually the expedition offers the things you need in the area they send you to for a certain phase so that works out well enough. Although I did get back to an earlier area when I needed some bones, as the planet they directed me to was not an easy one and it drove me nuts. So I traveled to a previous one and that made it a lot easier. 😊

I hope that we can play some more this Sunday. I know I can play solo, but it's much more fun when you can chat and discuss the bits while you're both doing them. 😉

Anywhoo, I am really enjoying this expedition so far. But maybe the next phases will be harder to do, so who knows what will happen then? (no I don't need spoilers and I know I can check it when I'm online, it was a rethorical question 😉).

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I/we can play some more this morning...

Ello sweet and lovely Friendos

I is back! The extra painkiller I took helped and I had a rather decent night. Woke once for the loo after about 4 hours and then I woke again about half an hour till the alarm.

The scale was an ass, but I guess it may also be hormones messing with me. It's gering to the time of month. And the peri-menopause is bringing on loads of fun bits. Like getting back zits and all that. 🫣 And they're very persistent, ugh... Hated them as a youth and still hate them now. And I can feel them before they form, as my skin is so sensitive, so it's always a long wait before they can be gotten rid off... 😔 Sorry, tmi I guess...

Yesterday I had a decent day! I had some activity, some good walks with Arwen, and a nice time gaming with @Nio! We started the new expedition in No Man's Sky, more on that can be found here:

Hopefully I can game some more with her (or alone, but together is more fun!) today.

N promised to help me with the garden privacy cloth this Monday, so fingers crossed that the weather will allow it and we can tackle it then. 😊 Would be very awesome...

Next week may be a busy one again. Tuesday I have my physio, so I can discuss the treatment and the upcoming surgery. I know an approximate time frame now for when the surgery should be so...
On Wednesday I have to switch Skoosh with Smurf (my parents car), so that dad can take Skoosh to the garage. She has her TLC day then (yearly maintenance). Dad will be going to a place near the garage so we switch cars. That way I don't have to drive there when he basically passes the place. Saves some kilometers. Maybe I need to "dognap" Bas on Wednesday as well, depending if mum is still in hospital. As dad will be gone all day so then Bas won't have someone to let him out and feed him and all that.
Thursday I wanna switch the cars again and take back Bas, should he be with me. And I'll do some groceries in Germany, maybe alone, maybe with mum... Depends on the hospital and all that...

So yeah, some busier days next week...

Hopefully I can relax today, and maybe tomorrow as well. Let's see what my leg allows me to do at the gym in a bit. I'll catch you on a bit when I share my journal Toot (still need to wrote that 😉).

#Journal of a slightly relaxed Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Saturday, 29/03/2025).

I woke about an hour before the alarm. My body was sore from the chores of tbe previous day (washing Smurf was a hard thing now for me), and my pain meds were done working, so my body needed to get up and get moving. 😊 The scale was an asshat again which will probably be my own "fault" (but maybe I can blame the hormones? 🤔 Hihi). I got dressed, cared for Arwen, and then got ready to head to the gym again.

I caught up with some texts from some very sweet friends. I caught up with some notifications. I rode the seated bike for a while, until my leg had enough again. And then, I didn't use the massage chair for ten minutes... I used it for twenty! My body was sore and no one seemed to want to use it, so I snuck in an extra ten minutes. Yay! Then I headed back to Skoosh again so I could get home.

Washed up, changed, had brekky. The weather app said there was a a 90% chance of rain, so I was a good gall and I took my umbrella. So... Of course I didn't need it... Which wasn't too bad, but it's weird. As when it said there was a 40% chance, it rained, and now it said 90% and it was dry... Weather can be weird! 😂 We had a nice walk and Arwen had many sniffs and she did her things. I worked on my blog some, so that was good too. I started a new post that I thought would be "an easy one". But then, with adding all the needed alt texts, it took me quite a while before I was content with it. It won't go online for a while yet, as I have many blogs planned ahead. But at least I have another one to share. And I think I did rather well on it. 😊

When we got home, I switched clothes and I got to the treadmill. I walked for an hour! Just a slow 4,4kmh pace, but still... I did have a 3% incline for 55 minutes, so that wasn't too bad!

I washed up, changed again, and then had some food. Arwen and I relaxed a bit and then we headed to Skoosh. We drove to the Herperduin, and Arwen and I had a lovely walk. The weather was good enough and it wasn't too busy yet, so Arwen and I could have a relaxing walk there.

After that, we had some relaxing time. I started the laundry, and when that was done, and I had some food, I started the dishwasher. Around 9, Arwen wanted walkies again. And she was lucky as her friend was out again as well. 😊

When we got back, I swept the floor and couch. Then I had some soup, and my friend texted me that she was getting ready too. We booted the PS5's and started up the NMS games. We played solo, but we chatted while we both started the new expedition. We played till it was time to get ready for last long walkies for me again.

The walkies were nice and the weather was a bit chilly. But when the sun was out and there wasn't too much wind, it wasn't too bad. Arwen got some splashes in again as well.

We watched some telly till it was time to get ready for bed. Arwen did a wee and then I took an extra painkiller and dived into my bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep.

Woke once after about 4 hours for the loo. Then I woke about half an hour till the alarm, and I got up and started my day/night. 🌑

SniffiVerse™ walkies Toot

Ello frens and fans of Arwen

Aaaaaand... we're back on another adventure!

It's dry with 6°C at the moment. But there is some wind, and the real feel is about 3 degrees. Still, it's not too bad, so hopefully we can have a relaxing walkies.

I only ride the seated bike tonight, but I did manage 35 minutes. 😊 And I had a nice massage in the chair.

Ow it's definitely more windy then I thought...

Hmm 🤔 I think Arwen has some issues with her intestines, as she's had 4 bowel movements since we left the house a few minutes ago... She did have her normal walkies yesterday and she did the usual things during those walkies. No idea why she needs to go so much now but I hope it will give her some relief. Maybe it's a side effect of the injection she had last Friday? Although I didn't really notice it after the previous shots...

Well, it's a longer walk, so at least she'll have some time to get all the relief that she needs. The weather is decent enough so it's not too bad while waiting for her. 😊

Today should be a relaxing day, I hope. Hopefully I can get some of my garden things back from N tomorrow, if the weather is decent enough, so that I can try to get some weeds from the garden. Arwen loves lying in front of the window, and it's harder for her to check things out now, as the grass and weeds are getting higher.

But hopefully, I can get some gaming in today. And I wanna work a bit on my blog when we get back home. If there's some time after that, I'll see about doing some exercises.

Wearing both hand braces now. I hope that they will give some relief to my hands, so that I can do some exercises when I have some time for them. 🤞🏻

Ello sweet and lovely Friendos

Here I is again, back from da snoozes, back in da night...

I woke up a bit early, but I slept in one go, so that was a good thing I guess. I was rather tired when I went to bed, so it didn't take too long to fall asleep this time.

Today should be OK enough. Need to walk to the supermarket when they open. And the neighbor will help me with the privacy cloth for the garden after the last walkies. So hopefully that will go well.

Hopefully mum will know more today, as the hospital didn't do much this weekend, except keep her on meds to "keep her going". But she'll need the surgery and I do hope they can schedule her sooner rather than later, as this is really troubling her... But I also want her to be able to go on that balloon ride! And that's on the 18th of April. So either they should do the surgery ASAP, or she will want to wait till after the 18th. She's been looking forward to this ride for months now, and it's something from her wishlist, so I really want her to be able to go and do that!

And hopefully soon, the hospital (a different one from mum's 😉) will call me to schedule the surgery. If I don't hear anything this next week, I'll have to try to call them the week after. The doc said that they'd call me soon to schedule. He also said there is a 2 month waiting list, and they usually schedule about 6 weeks ahead so... If I'd call the week after this one it should be "about 6 weeks" before the "estimated" date. 😊

I know I could just wait, but last time I did that, with the surgery in 2021, I waited long and then I finally called them. And they kinda "forgot" to contact me. And then when I hung up, I got a date for the surgery! So yeah, as I want this to be done as soon as possible, I'm not gonna wait too long...
And dad really wants to be able to go on vacation this year... Which is good... But it would be very nice if I'd be recovered from the surgery then! 😉 (especially as my mum would like me to drive if I can).

I do wanna get some weeds out today, if weather allows. So, if I see N with walkies, I'll ask if she needs my garden stuff still, or if I can get it back so that I can make a start in my garden. Should she need it, then I'll just try to game some more... 😇 But yeah I do need to work on the weeds, as they're going wild! So hopefully I'll see N, and otherwise I'll just text her if the weather is good enough for it... I don't like the work but I know I need to do it...

I also need to hoover, so hopefully my body will allow me to do so. I hope to be able to do that before I head to the store this morning. I'll just walk to the Plus, so I won't need Skoosh, and I'll get some steps in.

Wednesday, Skoosh needs to go to the garage for some TLC (her maintenance). Dad will take her. So I will head to Nijmegen in the early morning, switch Skoosh with the Smurf (their car), and I'll take Bas with me, as dad will be away the whole day. On Thursday I'll head back to Nijmegen, and I'll go to Germany for some groceries then as well. I don't know if mum will be free from the hospital then (otherwise I don't need to take Bas). But it's good to plan ahead so I know what to expect. 😇

Anywhoo.... Loads of babbling! 😂 Let's check the other socials and then I should do something sporty here. Hihi... 😉 Let's start the new week!

SniffiVerse™ walkies Toot

Ello frens and fans of Arwen

Aaaaaand... We're back on another adventure . It's still a bit windy, but not too cold, and dry. It's 9°C at the moment, but due to the wind, the real feel is about 6. So it's not too bad.

My hip is doing the "rattling" thing again for a bit so I hope that Arwen will walk a bit evenly. All the stopping and starting for the sniffs... And it's her SniffiVerse™ walkies. It's just uncomfortable when the hip does that "rattling" thing and you need to stop many times.

I tried my best at the gym. Rode the seated bike for half an hour and then I walked 1km on the treadmill. I couldn't use the massage chair, as it was taken. And by the time I was ready to leave it became available. 😔 Ah well...

I have a few chores that I need to do today, and hopefully there will be some time to relax as well.

Let's see if I can write a bit for my blog tonight. Arwen seems distracted for some reason, as she stops a lot and asks for a lot of cuddles tonight. So I guess we'll just have to take easy. As we usually do, anyway. 😊
