I enjoy gaming. I’m definitely not a good gamer. And if there are “baby settings” you better believe that I use them. I don’t mind a bit of a challenge, but when your hands are bad, and you struggle with concentration, then it can be very hard when it takes all you got and you still can’t make any progress. I am a very casual gamer, and that’s OK enough for me…
And there are the “die hards”, who have been blessed with good hands, quick reactions, good timing and depth vision on a screen. And, some days, I wish I had more of their skills. Not their arrogance, but the skills… Mind you, some good gamers are the best best and super helpful, as some have helped me in the past to get some trophies/finish a game. 😊 But others are feeling more elite, and they feel like games should not have easy mode or accessibility features. If you can’t do it, it’s just not for you… And yeah, that’s always easy said when you are the ones able to do it all…
I’ve had periods where I gamed loads. And there were times where I just wasn’t really interested. Last year, I wanted to game at times but the move kinda made it a bit harder to find time to relax with a game.
But as things settled a bit after the move, and they fixed the LAN socket so I could have wired internet for my Playstation, I slowly started to game some more. My moods changed a lot though, and sometimes I only gamed if there was a friend online to chat with. Or I’d be all excited to game, and then I finally had the time after finishing the chores, and I was just too tired or distracted to play. Or my hands hurt too much… 😔
I love gaming, some types of games are just the ones that I always enjoy. And some I’m eager to try, especially when they are on PS+, so I don’t have to buy them. I always had PS+ combined with PS Now, before they merged into the PS+ premium sub. Some moments, I feel like I don’t need the premium sub, especially since they made it more expensive.
But when I feel good, when I wanna relax, it’s just great to be able to try games out. Or to be able to play online with my friends. And some days I’ll just play the same game a lot, as it relaxes me and it has an easy mode, in case I’m too distracted. Other days, yeah I wanna try something different. 😊 That’s the beauty of PS+ premium.
My sub runs out just after my bday, so I hope that I can get some money as prezzies, so that I can get another year of PS+… 🤞🏻
I’ve played a lot of Lego games in the past. Most of my finished games are either Lego or Telltale ones. Some I had help with, others I did on my own. I don’t complete games that often, so I’m very proud of the ones that went to 100%, even if I had some help. 😊

A game I’ve been playing a lot lately is No Man’s Sky. It has the “baby settings” that I enjoy so much, so it makes it easier for me to play this when I really wanna game but I can’t focus too well.
Other games that I’ve played a bit lately are “Cult of the Lamb”, “Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga”, and I played a little of “Rabbids®:Party of Legends”. There are many more gamss that I’ve tried, sometimes only once, sometimes a little more. But I need to be in the mood for certain games, and my hands need to be able to do the necessary actions, which is often rather rubbish. 😔
PS+ certainly has some games that I really wanna try, some newer and some older ones. So I really hope that I can get the funds for another year of PS+ for my bday in May… 🤞🏻 It used to be around €120 a year, and when tiubwere lucky, they had special deals where it would be like €90. But when the prices changed, it added a lot to the yearly subs. 😔 Without a discount offer, a year of PS+ premium is now €152… Which is quite a bit more!
I know there is a lot it offers that I like. But with Arwen needing the 4-weekly shots, I don’t have much left to save for other things.
So I hope that the people that want do give me something for my birthday don’t mind giving me a little envelope ✉️ so that I can put it together to renew my PS+ sub… 🤞🏻 I’ve had the service for so many years and I would not want to lose it. Especially as online gaming can be a way for me to socialize and have fun without needing to leave the house or be among strangers. 😊
While writing this, I learned that a new expedition has started in No Man’s Sky, so I’ve already set a game date with a sweet friend to dive into the expedition together! 🌌 Hey ho, let’s see if we can tackle this. (may have tackled it by the time I’ll be posting this post, as I have a few scheduled already 😇).

A quick edit, not that you’d notice as the post hasn’t been shared yet, to mention a new game that I’ve just started playing. I found the game “Lost Records: Bloom & Rage” on PS+ premium, and seeing it’s a game by “Don’t Nod”, I was very interested. I loved their “Life is Strange” games. I’ve only just started the game, but I’m very eager to continue the story…
Keep on enjoying those lovely games! 🎮

Gaming – Playstation Now
I have mentioned this Playstation service before, so I thought it would be nice to write a bit about it, for those that don’t know it (yet).
Screen of PS Now on my PC
If you want to know more about Playstation Now, you can also follow this link to the official site of Playstation. If you’d rather read my post, well, thank you. Of course you can also do both, it’s all up to you. As I am located in the Netherlands, the games that are available to me, and the costs, might differ from where you are at.
Alright, first, the costs. Of course this service isn’t free. It does work without a PS+ subscription, but I prefer to have both (extra option to save your PS now games in your PS+ cloud, better be safe than sorry). There are 3 sub options, monthly, 3-monthly and yearly. For me, the costs for those are: €9,99 monthly, €24,99 3-monthly and €59,99 yearly. I’ve looked it up for UK and US residents and the costs for those are: £8,99/$9,99 monthly, £22,99/$24,99 3-monthly and £49,99/$59,99 yearly. As far as I could see, all locations offer a free 7-day trial to try it out. And you can look up all the titles online, so you know what you can expect. Here is the UK (English site, easier for most users) list of all games available at the time of writing.
What can you do when you have a Playstation Now sub? You can chose to play on PS4 and on PC/laptop. You will need a decent internet connection for the games that you can’t download (at this moment downloading is an option for PS4 games).
You can stream over 700 PS4, PS3 and PS2 titles from a wide range of genres to your PS4 or Windows PC. Play as much as you like, save your progress and continue playing on either device. Or pick from over 300 PS4 games to download to your PS4 console and they’ll be ready to play, in up to 4K resolution if you’re playing on PS4 Pro.
Whether you stream or download, your PS Now subscription includes full access to all available online multiplayer modes.
Another screenshot from my PC running the PS Now app.
For me, the ability to play on my PC as well was a reason to first sub to PS Now. I was still married back then and at that moment we only had one Playstation 4. Sometimes we both wanted to play, but different games. Then I would play PS Now on my PC and my then wife would play her game on PS4. It worked very well and I was quite happy with the service.
I just started playing Lego Worlds and I just saw that there is a date known when it will be taken offiline. So that’s something to warn you about: some games are only available for a limited time on PS Now. So if you want to play such a game, better focus on it before you’re too late and it’s offline.
Some games have dates, pay attention to those when you start a game.
So far, I have been able to enjoy many a game through PS Now. And, if you have followed my blog, you might have seen the post about “Mudrunner”, which a dear friend tried out when he was visiting me.
If you, like me, like getting trophies, this service can also be a good one for you. The trophies you get in PS Now games are added to your account, so you have many, many games to play and score nice trophies with.
The games are in alphabetical order in the PS Now app, so easy to find a game.
As mentioned, you will need a stable internet connection. According to the PS Now site, you’ll need at least a 5mbs connection. But I am guessing that if you want to play PS4 games and in high res, if you have a low mbs connection, it might be wise to download the game (option on PS4) and play it from your HD to ensure the best quality of game play.
Do you have PS Now? Or have you used it in the past? Or maybe you’re thinking of getting it in the (near) future… Let’s chat about it. Leave me a comment below this post and I will get back to you.
