#Journal of a Dutch Pixy (Friday, 16/05/2025).

I woke up during the night for the loo, and then when my alarm went off. So I was a bit groggy when I got up. I gave Arwen her pill, the last one of the first bottle... I got to the scale, and it wasn't too bad. Got dressed and then took Arwen out to do her thing. I took my meds and then we waited a bit before I could give Arwen her meal. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.

I got to the gym, and checked my socials while enjoying my protein shake. Then I got to the seated bike. Rode it for half an hour. Then I went to the strength machines, and I did two exercises for my shoulders. I switched shoes and headed home.

Washing up, brekky, and a short SniffiVerse™ walkies with Arwen. When we got back, I went to the PC and I worked on my blog a bit. Some relaxing after that. Which didn't last too long, as my brain was busy with all it needed to do before my friends would arrive. I tried to dust the living room best I could. Then I headed back upstairs, where I rode the home trainer a while. And I even managed to row for about 7 minutes! Back downstairs, I relaxed a bit.

After a short walk with Arwen, I made some food. After that, I tried to clean the kitchen a bit. I hoovered the downstairs area after that. Then, a wee bit of relaxing, before I headed to the vet, to pick up Arwen's meds. I paid for the meds, and drove back home.

I had a few minutes to relax, before Arwen wanted walkies again. We had a nice walk, and after that, I could watch some TV, before my friends were coming over. Then, I got a call, my friends navigation bailed on them, and they were stuck... Yeah the construction in the area, plus an older navigation system... That will mess it up... I talked them to the main road, and then the navigation found a better way. 😊

We had a good time together. Even went for a short walk, as Arwen needed to go out. But the weather was lovely. Just before it was time for walkies with N&B, our friends left to head back home. And Arwen was all ready for walkies...

She was very fortunate, as we walked a different route again, and now she was able to swim a bit! Happy gall. 😊. We relaxed a bit until it was time for the last wee and to get to bed.

It took a little while for me to relax properly and to fall asleep. I woke up once for the loo, and then about 20 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I gave Arwen her pill and got ready to start my day/night.

SniffiVerse™ walkies Toot

Ello frens and fans of Arwen

It will be a short walk tonight. Arwen has a little wound on one of her front paws. So we'll just do a short walk so she can get the pees and poos done. Then we'll head home and I will clean her paw and use ointment on it. Poor gall...

I only did some cardio at the gym, 30 minutes on the seated bike. And then I walked 1k on the treadmill. I will need to use my own treadmill some too tonight, as the short walk with Arwen doesn't give me too many steps. And, I've been slacking in my steps this week... Of course the reason for me feeling so tired is a good one. But I should try to keep some of my exercises up.

When we get back, I'll clean Arwen's paw. When that's done, I'll head to the PC to dork on my blog a bit. After that, I guess I'll need to walk the treadmill a bit. Or maybe relax a bit and then walk the treadmill.

I don't see the moon, so I can't take a snap of it now... Maybe later tonight?

I hope that I can work in my garden a bit this morning... And I hope that all will go well with my parents, when we check out the "new" car. 😊

Ello sweet (and sporty) Friendos

Sorry I've been quiet for a while here. I've been struggling with my health, partially due to what happened last Sunday... (more info in this Toot beige.party/@PixysJourney/1144… and in the blog post that will be shared in about 4 hours).

I tried to keep active. And, I managed to keep my weight "OK" enough. I'm still not losing it as I want to. But, the bits that I gained, some of it is gone again. And... I managed to get some more exercises in! It's definitely not great, but at this moment, I'm taking even the smallest bits of progress as a big win.

I will try to do better. I owe it to myself. I owe it to Arwen, who needs me at my best. I owe it to my parents, who deserve my support in these awful times.

Thank you for your support! it really means a lot. More than I could express in words. But emojis do help. Hihi...

I need to do some chores this morning, as I'm having friends over this morning. I've been slacking on the house work, due to valid reasons. My friends won't mind! But part of me does... so, after some resting, I'll get off the couch and get some dusting done...

Ello everyone!

My birthday ducked!! Yeah auto correct, there were many ducks involved... 🤔 Well, you get what I mean, I guess...

The day started out well. Went to the gym, had a small walk with Arwen, worked on my blog, worked in the garden... My parents came and all was good.

They left to go home and I wanted to relax. So... I was just on the couch and... Mum called me....

I thought that they had forgotten something. But nope. If I could pick up Bas (their little Wiener dog), as they had been in a bad accident... What?!? 😵

Mum told me where they were and I drove there. What I saw.... Well, it's shocked me loads.... There was a very sweet woman who was with my parents (she was just a bystander) and she was super nice and calm. And I felt I could trust her with my parents. So I released Bas, checked him out, and I took him home.

I visited the neighbor, as I needed to get it off my chest, and I needed to tell her that I had Basje, so we could not walk together later on.

Bas had just eaten a bit, and then mum texted me that they were ready to be picked up. So, I took Bas and we headed there. I picked them up, and had to drive the long way home, as the highway was closed off due to their car and the bike being there for research.

I helped mum to get the glass off her. She had it everywhere. And when I couldn't help anymore, I headed back home. I was all shook up. And so tired....

I had a short night with some weird dreams. I still feel off. So... I will probably lurk here some... I may like and boost. But if I interact less, or in a different way, please know that it's the shock of it all wearing off...

#Journal of a slightly busy Dutch Pixy (Thursday, 15/05/2025).

I had a decent night and the alarm woke me up. Which actually made me feel more tired than I usually am when I wake up naturally... But I got some hours of sleep, so that was good. Arwen got her meds and I used the scale and got dressed. I let Arwen out to do her thing and then I took my own meds. We waited a while before I was allowed to give Arwen her food. When she was happily eating, I put out the snacks, and grabbed my bag to head to the gym.

I checked my socials while I was enjoying my protein shake. I rode the seated bike for 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes on the cross-trainer. Another ten minutes on the treadmill, and then a massage in the chair, before heading back home again. My shoulders were a tad sore from the exercises that I did the previous night, so I just did some cardio today. But I did sneak in some extra minutes of that, yay me!

I got back home and washed up. Had my brekky and then we got ready for walkies. Arwen wanted a shorter walk again today, so we did just that... When we got back, I "quickly" wanted to work on my PC a bit. So... It had frakking updates that lasted me 50 minutes... 35 of those minutes, it said it was at 100%, so that was very annoying! In the end, while waiting, I did manage to ride the bike for 15 minutes...

I finally worked on my blog, and I got a few alt texts added to my Flickr images again. Then, I went back down. I wanted to relax a bit, bit it was also time to prepare some food. The meal I had for today required more prepping, so. I switched that with something more easy, as I was just so tired.

After food, Arwen and I got ready to head to Nijmegen. The road was very quiet and I was a lot faster than I thought I would be... So I had to wait a bit for mum to be ready. I helped her with the compression stockings and when she had some food, we were ready to go.

Skoosh brought us to Germany and we got most of the groceries that we needed. Then a visit at Appie for some other bits. I helped mum with the groceries and when she had a coffee, we got ready to walk with the dogs.

Arwen wanted a wee bit of play time... The big love... 💜 When we got back, we got ready to head back home again. I unpacked the groceries and made food for Arwen. I had a snack while I relaxed on the couch. I made a call to the vet to inform about Arwen's meds. They were in, so I can pick them up, which I'll do on Friday morning.

After some relaxing, it was time to walk with N&B. We had a nice walk, and the sun was rather warm. Then, some more relaxing on the couch, till it was time for the last wee and heading to bed.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke up once for the loo, and then when my alarm woke me. I gave Arwen the last pill we had, and I got ready to start a new day/night.

SniffiVerse™ walkies Toot

Ello frens and fans of Arwen

We're out and about again. I have to say, I do miss the longer walkies. 😔 But I understand that Arwen's health is declining and she can't do them anymore. Which also saddens me, as I would love her to be more capable still... If that makes sense 🤔...

But well make the best out of the walkies we can still get. It's dry (still) and 9°C, so not too bad. Although it will get to about 7 degrees during the night.

The moon is slowly rising, so hopefully there will be a spot or me to capture her. 😊

As I stated in the gym Toot, my AuDHD will probably kickstart me into some last minute cleaning tonight. Because if this accident, I've not been home much and I've not been able to keep up with the cleaning. It's not really dirty, it I like it to be a bit cleaner when people come to visit me.

Part of me wants to do a bit of work in the front garden, to clear out some of the weeds again... It's not too bad yet, but if I can stay on top of it, maybe soon I can get the cloth on it to prevent some more weeds from coming back again and again. I'll probably need a few more pins to get the cloth secure, but I can make a start with the ones that I do have... But first the weeds need to be gone, and I need to try and make the ground more flat. It's now kinda like the surface of the moon, as we say here 😂.

So, walkies now, and then I'll work on my blog. After that, I'll most likely try to dust the house a bit... I'll also sweep the floor and maybe I can hoover when I'm back from picking up Arwen's meds this morning.

It's been a crazy week and slowly, my body and brain are trying to recover from the shock and anxiety... Today, I'll do my best to clean some, and get Arwen's meds, and have a good time with my friends. 😊 Tomorrow, I'll go to Nijmegen again, and go to the garage with my parents to check on the car that I found for them... Sunday, hopefully, I can get some relaxing in... 🤞🏻
