Ik leef echt voor het prismaspel! Ik zit nu nog op de academie, na mijn afstuderen wil ik als solist aan de slag. Daarom sta ik ook hier, om uren te maken. Als kleurenvanger moet je minstens 6 uur oefenen, elke dag, ook tijdens het Oranova. Alleen al om je repertoire op te houden. Ik speel nu soms wel 12 uur per dag, dat is heel normaal voor studenten hoor. Toen ik eerstejaars was kon ik alleen tijdens het schemer kleurlijnen buigen, maar vandaag speel ik al de hele nacht door. Ik verdien er al een aardig centje mee, maar daar gaat het mij niet om. Het financiële deel laat ik over Bach, mijn purserat, die let goed op de centjes. Vroeger hield ik het meeste van opkomend zonlicht, maar nu vind ik dat zo onsubtiel, kinderachtig bijna. Nu speel ik juist graag met het oude sterrenlicht. Mijn moeder zegt dat het een fase is die ze liever even overslaat.

I really live for playing prism! I study it at the academy. When I graduate I want to be a soloist. That is why I am here, to put in the hours. When I was in my first-year, I could only bend colour lines during twilight, but today I play all night long. I can earn a fair amount of money with it, but that is not what matters most to me. I leave the whole financial part to Bach, my purse rat, who keeps an eye at the coins. I used to love rising sunlight the most, but now I find it a bit unsubtle, almost childish. At the moment I like to play with the old starlights. My mother says that’s just a phase, and she would rather I skip it.
