I'm on the upper balcony, looking out over The Hague. If you look close, you can see someone else looking out too.
There's lots to see. Beautiful buildings as well as ugly ones, smack in the middle of course.

I designed this book for our dear friend Jeanne. Art and Religion in the Renaissance contains four studies of Piero della Francesca, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and Lorenzo Lotto.
While we were at Jeanne’s, in Italy, I photographed the cover in Florence and later visited Bergamo to marvel at Lotto’s magnificent work. You no longer need to travel to Italy to experience these masterpieces—this book provides everything you need!

For my animated short film Lazy Dog, I am creating simple 3D models of each character, to pose and then trace. Only key poses, to speed up the hand drawn animation. This helps to get difficult perspective right quickly. Even distorted fish eye lens shots become relatively simple to do.

Linux Ubuntu
I’m gradually becoming quite comfortable wit Linux Ubuntu—something I need, given the many alarming reports we keep hearing about big‑tech companies, including Apple sucking up to 'he who must not be named' recently.
Ubuntu proves to be a fully capable platform for me as both a musician and a filmmaker. And it is not difficult or scary at all. You start by running it from a USB drive and go from there. It's fun!

Some people miss the event functionality of Facebook. I’ve found that Partey.io is a great, free alternative that’s very easy to use. It doesn’t require an account, looks great—and it even has confetti.
Alternatively, there's also an open-source, decentralized event tool that looks great. It may be a bit trickier to set up for the average user but definitely worth checking out, I’d say: mobilizon.org

It was terribly cold. And there was zero color, so I tried creating colorless colors. Next time, I'll imagine a colorful laser show inside the Hague Passage. To keep me warm.

That said, the idea is to keep art very accessible. I like the idea of being able to give an original painting of a cozy pub scene to a loved one, for instance, without breaking the bank.
Commissions are also still possible at a low price; for example, you might want a “portrait of your house.”
