Block Hash Tags?
Can I block specific hash tags on Friendica?
e.g. can I block things like # Musk or # Zuckerberg or # NFL
edit: space added between hash and words

You're on the same server as I am, friendica.world, so this is easy to explain:
go into Settings → Addons → Content Filter (NSFW and more)
It should be ✅enabled, and you just add the words you want filtered out.
This collapses those posts, and you get the explanation on why it's been collapsed, so you can judge whether you want to just scroll past it or read it.
I guess we are able to block people posting a lot of the / only the kind of posts we want to avoid.
That's for another time, when I'm not on mobile ...

(I just blocked 14 instances of ... uh ... some sort of news channel?, with info I neither dislike nor like — but there was too much of it. Don't give me the same information from (e.g.) "hello world (1)" "hello world (2)" "hello world (3)" "hello world (English)" "hello world (news)" ... )
I'm still learning, and finding new stuff (and still forget where I found things). 😬🙈😅

in reply to phle • •I do use block, but try to mute before that, then look later to see if they are still "offending", if not unmute or block if necessary.
