Oriental Pied-Hornbill
A small black-and-white hornbill with a whitish-yellow bill and “helmet.” Primarily black, but with a white belly, facial patch, and wing and tail edges. Sexes are similar, but males have a much larger “helmet” than the female. More tolerant of human habitation than other hornbills and can sometimes be found in large city parks as well as open forests and edges. Noisy and social, often giving loud yapping calls to flockmates.

On Halloween 2024, a beautiful cat appeared in my garden. She came every day, was unchipped, & was so very nice that I named her Mabel (from the Latin "amabilis" = lovable).
On 09.01. 2025, she gave birth to 2 boys & 2 girls.
I named them:
Lua - for a Roman war goddess to whom soldiers dedicated their captured weapons.
Artemis (Arti) - Greek goddess of the hunt.
Gylfi - an ancient King of Sweden in Norse Mythology.
Sophokles (Sopho) - my favourite Greek tragedian.

It's weird how the picture with pins has all those dates… but they are not sequential? And then when you go to the article showing the written manuscripts there's no pins and the edits are just done by writing in between the lines. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
