in reply to schlesi • • •ich erinnere mich noch gut, wie ich stundenlang dem Kompiler zugeschaut habe um mir eine aktuelle Version (KDE2 und später 3) zu bauen. Anfangs noch mit SUSE später dann Debian-Linux unterwegs, waren die damaligen Distributionen immer so weit hinter den Releases hinterher, dass man noch selbst tätig werden musste.
Dank Rolling Distries wie #archlinux oder meinem aktuellen Favoriten #CachyOS ist man da heute doch deutlich schneller am Puls der Zeit.
