Sooooo.... Watching some Cold Case steaming through the PS3 now, as I need to charge the controllers, and my USB cables are too short for me to play while they are connected.
Unfortunately, the PS3 controllers can't be charged with a normal USB charger. For some reason they need to be connected to the PS3 while it's on... So yeah, if the system needs to be on anyway, best use it to watch something. ๐
Owwww and... I hooked up the PS2 to the HDMI converter, and I hooked that up to the switch and... It works!
There's no fancy upscaling in my converter, it was too cheap for that. But hey, it works, so now I can use the PS2 on the big telly. ๐
The CSI game was apparently still in the drive, so when I tried it, that's what the PS2 loaded up...

Had the PS3 hooked to the LAN, but it said it had no internet... ๐ค
It was still set to wifi, and I needed to manually switch.
It sees the internet and... It got an update! The old phat PS3 got an update....
Letting the PS3 do a speed test now and... The results are rather low... Which I think may be the limits of the PSN/PS3, as I know my connection is a "wee bit" better than this...

TL;DR: OP is revisiting their PS3 copy of BioShock after a long break, reminiscing about playing it with their ex-wife, and considering replaying the series, potentially on PS5 via PS+ if enhanced versions exist.
Saving my NMS game and then... I'll see if I can get the Blu-ray to work over the HDMI switch.... Hopefully it's just the cable that's not good for it.... Fingers crossed ๐ค๐ป

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Sunday. A day of rest but I doubt MrsD will be resting, even with her poorly foot. I do my best to keep her tied down, but she wants to be up and "doing something ". She's an absolute bugger when she's ill! Wish me luck.
Have a perfect Sunday everyone. Usual rules apply, have fun, have laughs, tell those bad jokes (to me as well!) and, as always, take care.

So, the different HDMI cable didn't help... I tried to switch the Blu-ray with the PS3, and... The PS3 works on the HDMI switch. Yay!
The controller I grabbed was as dead as could be, so it's charging now. ๐
And for some reason, the automatic time settings were way off... ๐ค So I did a manual one instead.
There are some games installed on the HD, and I have a few disc games too... So when the controller has been charged, I could game on the PS3 again.
Hopefully next week, I can attach the Wii and the PS2 as well. ๐

It's me again!
This morning, I tried to use the Blu-ray player through the HDMI switch. And... It didn't work, the TV gave an error that the product that had need hooked up wasn't powered on, meaning there was no signal...
I have two more HDMI cables, so when there's a bit more light out, I'll see if I can switch the cable that's connected now with another one I have... Maybe that will do the trick?
It's a switch, with power adapter, and a little remote. It is a 4K one, so it should be able to handle the Blu-ray...
So I wonder if it's just the cable that's not suitable... ๐ค Or if this is something that can't be routed through a switch?
Anywhoo.... Playing a little NMS at the moment, just relaxing, while Arwen is snoring next to me. ๐

Good morning everyone ๐ I'm up early for the parrots again today, and again this morning had only the briefest of cuddles with a very hungry wee parrot who was determined to get to her breakfast as quickly as possible. She did, however, cuddle into my neck as I walked her to her cage and then turned to me and said "I love you!" in her sweet little voice, so my day has been made โบ๏ธ Grant's mum and sister came round yesterday evening to wish him a happy birthday just after the parrots had been set to roost and Zigs was very unhappy about visitors - going down to the bottom of her cage where the blackout cover doesn't reach to peer out and give us what for! We had to move everyone through to the kitchen to appease the little Madame. We are well and truly parrot slaves! ๐

A music sharing post...
I've been listening to some of my favorite songs (on Spotify, sorry for those that hate it, I do buy original music when I can, preferably on Vinyl, but Spotify is just what I've been using for years and what I know). I tried to use the service of song.link to add universal links but I also shared the Spotify ones, just in case I messed up that link sharing bit.
Some songs, which are a bit sadder, always hit me, however good or bad I feel. And they're not even by my all time favorite band...
Within Temptation - Forgiven
Spotify
Song.link
Amaranthe - Stay a little while
Spotify
Song.link
Smash Into Pieces - Stay

I hope I tagged these songs in the right way, I've never used song.link and I have never shared several links in a Friendica post like this.
There is one more song that I'd like to share, and it's one of my biggest favorites by the band I've loved the longest!
Roxette - Entering your heart

My Apple Watch is over three years old and is probably going to need to be replaced within the next year. One of the main functions I use the watch for is to check my oxygen saturation. They are no longer selling watches that can perform this function in the United States as a result of a lawsuit. So, can anyone recommend a good Bluetooth pulse oximeter? It will need to connect with the phone and work well with VoiceOver and a braille display.

A close-up shot shows a piece of driftwood with a deeply textured surface. The wood is weathered and has a light gray color. The texture is characterized by long, vertical striations and grooves, giving it a rough and aged appearance. Some fine sand particles are lodged in the grooves of the wood. A sandy surface is visible in the upper right corner of the image, suggesting the driftwood is lying on a beach.
