The funniest was when my roommate had just fed him, and he came up here doing his "I need food" yowling at me. When someone taps that button, the HA server also announces it via speakers. He's up here yowling, when [alert sound] "Loki has been fed!". He stopped, looked at the floor a moment, and then left my room. 🤣
I had a cat before and he always had a bowl of dry food and he ate when he wanted. He didn't get fat or anything. His teeth were in great shape always, because dry food is good for teeth. He had wet food once or twice a week or randomly for a treat. He had perfect teeth at 13 when he died because of vaccine caused carsinoma (cats should never be vaccinated in the neck, always in limb).
My cat didn't like all dry foods, but most. His favourite food was green olives. He heard me open the jar from sleep and was immediately there to get some olives and lick my hand from the vinegar. Cucumber was also what he loved. If I left a shopping bag with a cucumber on the floor, he bit and ate it trough the plastic.
Ours come and get us and then lead us to various places of our apt, sometimes it’s to get, water from the bathroom faucet. The catfood scam is real though.
They are so picky too, “oh no not that kind again, I had that a week ago!”

The feedometer measures the time since each pet has been fed. So everybody in the family knows if they are honest wen they claim that they have not been fed jet.
Attention: Beware a similar scam: cats may pretend their bowls of dry food are empty when they are in fact full, because they want more food, attention, or both. Consider giving in to their demands. ‼️🐈🐈⬛️

Like literally last night, I got home from a walk and my cousin noted that the dogs heard me coming and were barking like mad to be fed.
I had just fed them an hour earlier.
"No, dogs. You don't get food just because I 'came home' (again)."
And really, I do this *every* weeknight -- an hour long walk after feeding the dogs. You think they'd "know" by now. 🙄
