Bluesky friends: Did you know Friendica can be used to organize the accounts you follow into private lists that allow you to pick and choose what information you see when?
In this time of overwhelm, it can be really helpful to have that control so you can turn your attention where you want and take nibbles and sips rather than being blasted from a firehose every time you open your feed.
You can do this by putting the accounts you follow into "Circles." Examples of Circles might include: Friends, Family, Work, News, Science, Politics, Entertainment, Sports - whatever is relevant to you.
Here's how to do it from a desktop computer:
1. Start by joining Friendica:

2. Connect Friendica to Bluesky:
friendica.world/settings/conneβ¦
3. Select "Enable Bluesky Post Addon" (if you want to be able to post directly from Friendica to Bluesky) and "Import the remote timeline" (in order to be able to view the accounts you follow and import them as contacts).
4. Hover over your profile pic to display the drop-down menu and then select "Contacts":
friendica.world/contact
5. Click "Circles" in the top menu bar:
friendica.world/circle/
6. From the menu on the left-hand side, click "Create New Circle".
7. Type in the name of a Circle you want to create and press "Enter".
8. You will automatically be taken to a page with the name of the Circle at the top, and all of your contacts listed below. Click on a contact to add them to the Circle.
9. After you have added the accounts you want to the Circle, click "Save Circle".
10. That's it! The Circle will now appear in your menu, and you can use it to view posts from only the accounts you have assigned to that Circle.
You can also use Circles when posting to limit the audience of your posts. For example, if you want to share something with just friends and family but not work colleagues, you can do that when creating the post.

in reply to Sarah Peck π₯ • •I have apparently done something wrong. I created a new app password on Bluesky, and added it as the password in the Friendica settings. As promised, Friendica filled in both the Personal Data Server (PDS) and DID fields.
However, before doing that, I could see an option to share in the "... More" at the bottom of a post. Now, I cannot see that on the post I was intending to share. That menu item has disappeared.
