Thanks for that, appreciate it. At the moment it's not just bridgy (I see my bluesky posts turn up here), it's federating out to any other instances (mastodon instance even). For example If I post on mastodon or bluesky, it turns up here (friendica.world) fine. ut my posts here don't turn up on mastodon. My mastodon user is following my friendica user, and vice versa. But just nothing turns up on mastodon. Apparently there is an issue they are working on atm. But I'm keen to see if there are any other friendica instances that are reliable.
The other thing that occurred to me is maybe there's a lot of new users fronting up on friendica.world, refugees from facebook or x, and they will eventually ramp up the resources and sort the problem. So it's probably just temporary. Just unfortunate timing for me. And if I'm going to try and onboard my friends to friendica, I'd be wanting to do it on an instance on which federation is working properly.

It sounds wrong that fire poisons enter the "closed" water system, but massive amounts of poison are pulled into the water.

But the best thing is that Pixelfed has an AGPL license, so I don't even have to "trust" anyone, the current code will be open source and free forever, and that is the greatest source of trust you could ever have!

I'm sure every tech product that reached a billion total users (not monthly, but in total) started out as a nice idea, until suddenly circumstances allowed it to grow huge.

Follow Mastodon's trajectory and opportunity to do one better, where a collective commons helps share the burdens as well as the joys. With community to delegate the chores, and help foster and guarantee pixelfed and loop's long-term sustainably. Increase the bus factor, before you burn out. A single person is not invincible, a united movement might be.

Small grammar mistake on Kickstarter: "Beautiful sharing platforms that puts you first." Either single "platform" or verb in plural "put".
I think it's the first time I read there's a "Pixelfed Foundation". I thought it was mostly just you. And the contact email is a dot com address, instead of using the existing .org domain?
I'm curious about Pixelfed's path forward! Looking forward to it.
