Starting the process of dumping the zuckerverse

@lynfox

Created a friendica.world account and connected it to myself on mastodon and pixelfed.au

If this works I'll start subverting my family and friends on fb & insta.
Closing those dodgy accounts is my project for 2025.

Please be aware that we're having an issue causing federation to Mastadon and others to lag behind.. sorry about that

No problem, thanks for letting me know.

View Bluesky posts on Friendica

Hey all, I would like to follow a few #Bluesky folks that haven't made it to the Fediverse. Is there a way to follow them here? When I try to search for an account, I am just getting a No Matches modal.

Today I setup a #Peertube instance and live streamed as a test, just to learn something new. It wasn't very difficult, deploying with Docker.

How much resources is needed for a Peertube instance? I imagine with video it can get taxing.

Hi everyone!

I am David from Singapore. I asked ChatGPT what are the Facebook alternatives out there and Friendica is one of those recommended. So here I am to explore around.
While the community is small, I like the fact that these is no ads. A good start.

Newbie question

How does one create lists...So I can sort feeds into categories... IE- Real Life Friends, News, Film, etc?

Thanks!

The thing you're looking for is circles.

1.) Click on the people shaped "Contacts" icon up top.
2.) Select the "Circles" tab on the upper right side of the menu bar.
3.) On the left, next to "Circles", click the plus sign to create a new circle.
4.) Enter a name for the circle and press enter.
5.) Click the plus sign to the right of the people you want to add to that circle.
6.) Return to the square shaped "My friends conversations" icon up top, and select the circles you want to view.

Alternatively, you can search for an item (either a search term of a hash tag), and then there is a floppy disk sign on the upper right to save the search. That is then available in your friends conversations screen under "Saved Searches".
