Shout out to the admin of my normal fediverse home, who has been workin this weekend to fix things after it fell over. That’s one of the things I’m really liking about the #Fediverse so far, your hosts aren’t necessarily faceless. Like yes, they don’t all make themselves personally known to their users. But with many of the good admins, there’s direct communication about what’s going on. So whenever possible, tip your #fediadmins for their trouble folks, they’re the reason you’re able to enjoy this, and it can be thankless effort.
Post script: If you’re seeing this from #Bluesky, I’m not actually in there atm even though it looks like I am. I’m posting from a bridge from another federated service. But whoever is running your data has a thankless job, whether they’re doing it for a little #Federated space, or working for a giant commercial company. Unless you are literally running your data on a device you fully own and control in a space you own and control, you owe your gratitude to another human.

Movie: Conclave (2024)
Last night I watched Conclave (2024):
As a #Catholic, this was an interesting #movie for sure. I think it was a really solid movie with broad appeal. Even if you aren't #religious, if you like political intrigue and #drama you'll probably love this! The characters are a little obviously exaggerated, but it was well acted and the #Vatican City set and #Sistine Chapel was incredible.

I cannot believe the figures displayed at Frdidb.org are correct for our instance with only 156 users currently. I remember something was blocked a couple of months ago.
