Hello world!

So, let's explore the fediverse further!

I used (?) to have a profile on diaspora* that I never really got around exploring and I also have a Mastodon profile.

Now let's add Friendica to the mix... And I think Pixelfed is next. 😏

Oh, my, that was really a sad and strange series of unfortunate events who killed diasp.net. 😱

Ah, well. I might get a profile on diasp.eu then...even if it might be enough for me to have profiles on Mastodon and Friendica. 😉

(replying back from Friendica 🤗)

diasp.eu is closed for new sign-ups, but other pods are still available
... but I'd say it should be enough with either Mastodon or Friendica, as both are part of the Fediverse (diaspora* is connected to Friendica, but not to Mastodon).

Ah, no diaspora* for me then. Friendica and Mastodon are more than enough. I did get a Pixelfed profile, just in case, though. 😁

Thanks for the pic! Very informative!

Im currently mainly on Mastodon, but exploring both Friendica and Pixelfed.

For you who are running Friendica, do you just use a web-reader or can you recommend a android-app? Ive tried Fedilab, but too many functions missing. I tried raccoon as well, which was better, but still, you are missing quite alot of Friendicas "power".

The webinterface works ok even on a mobile, but a bit hard to work around in sometimes....

I'm actually using web browsers, for diaspora*, BookWyrm, Friendica, and Mastodon.

I've installed Raccoon for Android and Fedilab, which both work for both Mastodon and Friendica, on my Android phone, but I circle back to my "add to home screen":ed web browser.

... so, in short: no, sorry, no app recommendations (as of yet? - but the web versions work good enough for me to not use the apps, which in turn makes me never really explore them).

@phle @nicopunktse @Anders Nicolaysen Ive also tried those apps, and yes, I tend to use it the way you describe, through my webreader on android with a shortcut on the phone, to make it easy to startup.

But I do wish though that a really good Friendica app would come by! Some things are easier navigable in an app and there is less fuss with accessing certain functions/menus etc. But of course, only if you actually have those functions included in the actual app.
