Slowly uploading some of my Zoo snaps to Pixelfed. I'll slowly boost them here too, for visibility. I hope I won't bore you with these boosts! I try to not share too many, as I've taken about 90 snaps I think. Although some are "double", to try to get the best shot with framing and zoom... 😊
Ello sweet (and sporty) Friendos 
Just did a 40 minutes ride on the seated bike. Didn't feel like doing anything else, as I'm still a bit tired from my busy day yesterday. I'll be home a bit earlier, and Arwen will probably want the short round, so I'll have time for the hometrainer or treadmill at home.
I know I need to do better though, as my weight is still above the 80 kilos. But I did show improvements towards my muscle and fat, so I guess I'll keep working on that for now. But with getting less steps with Arwen, I do need to "step up" my exercises at home.

Today in #Valheim Sten jumped off a diving platform he’d built by the dock.
The construction of Weston is going well, but is constantly hampered by persistent attacks from the locals. Wild Lox often wander in and behave like angry bulls. Fuling harass us every chance they get. And the mosquitoes are excruciatingly annoying!
What we need are torches! Torches all over the place! So I visited our old greydwarf farm near Rivalund where we collect lots of wood and resin. As I approached the bridge, a troll appeared and I had to sit him down to explain that we live in the Plains now and he’s really not all that scary anymore.
After arriving at the greydwarf farm I fed the good boys and sat down to watch them work. The greydwarf farm works very well. I filled my bags with resources and retired to Rivalund with the resources to build a sea of torches across the plains to prevent those pesky creatures spawning.

TL;DR: OP, a Dutch pixy, had a busy day: gym, dog walking (Arwen's paw is bothering her), home workouts, blog work, zoo visit (amazing!), and dog-sitting for a neighbor. Despite some minor setbacks (sore leg, Arwen's paw), OP had a fulfilling day and enjoyed the quieter-than-usual zoo.
TL;DR: Busy day for a Dutch pixy! Gym, dog walking (Arwen's paw is bothering her), zoo visit (amazing!), and dog-sitting for a neighbor. Long day, but ended with a good night's sleep.

Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 482 , Friday 21/02/2025
Friday has been another quiet day, which was good because I woke around 7am with zero motivation & very little urge to get out of bed.
I got up, made my breakfast & then took my coffee back to bed for an hour.
The day has sped past, I hardly know what filled it. The was some gaming this afternoon & I listened to my audiobook for a while.
Spent some time on here with my Peeps, which made me smile, so there’s that.
It’s been a relatively warm day but windy & squally.
Pizza for tea. Then ‘Waking the dead’.
Final Thoughts.
Feeling very bläh today for no good reason.
Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! 🫂 🫶🐿️🖖

Posting to try to obtain some helpful advice for an #autistic coparenting friend who is struggling with 3 of his children diagnosed with #autism in blended family situation. Two are younger, under age 10 & were diagnosed very early. One is a teenager & diagnosed a bit later & didn't get supports needed for about 2 years after the diagnosis. The older teen child has acted out in physically aggressive ways & lives in with their Mom. He isn't sure how to handle disciplining with the kids & needs some advice from autistic single parents with autistic kids. Can anyone help my friend with #parenting advice?

I hope my snaps will turn out good when I have time to properly check them all. The zoo is still rather quiet, the weather is lovely, and I'm doing my best to get some decent snaps. Can't upload them yet, as I want to add decent Alt texts, so I'll do my best to share some later through my Pixelfed account. 😊 But going to the zoo today wasn't a bad idea.

Owwww I am so excited about visiting the zoo again today. It'll be just me, which will be a bit weird (at first?) perhaps, as I've always been there with friends and/or family. So let's see how that will go... It should be a decent day, weather-wise, so I hope it won't be too busy when I am there...

I thought I read that there would be an option to transfer yout whole account to a new instance when the time comes for that. But with all the things he's been on about, I wonder if that will truly happen.

yeah, I just feel the dev has spread himself too thin. It feels like he gets an idea, creates a project and then moves onto another. That leaves projects functioning but really need updates.

It seems to be fast at one point and the next moment, it's slow again... I jus could not access the node and then I had to log back in when it came back. But I understand that Ruud is working hard on it, so hopefully the little bits and bops will slowly sort themselves out...

@tldr hehe not taking Arwen to the zoo though! She will be with my parents 😉 she's not a service dog, so she's not allowed in the zoo...
TL;DR: Dog Arwen is staying home while OP goes to the zoo; OP had a light gym workout, and is dealing with Friendica account issues; it's almost the weekend!
I did it, sort of... 😇
After half an hour on the seated bike, I went to the Smith Machine. I wasn't too motivated, as I felt a bit tired and bläh.
But I set the bench right, got the 2*7,5 kg weights on and I did three sets of 8 reps.
Now a massage in the chair before I'll get ready to head back home again.
It's hard to get yourself to do things when your motivation is out for a walk or something like that. But it makes it feel even better when you actually do (some of) it. 💪🏼

I feel that way about my dog. I rescued him 2 years ago as a senior dog and he's just SO HAPPY all the time. I call him the "happy to be here gang". And he's really taught me a lot about finding joy in just existing with my loved ones.

migrations never working out right are really just a problem for people trying to grow a following (which is silly to attempt on fedi).
people who complain about losing 2000 followers almost never are people looking to socialize on the social network, they’re addicted to numbers going up.
as far as i saw in queer fedi, where servers are not long-lasting, people who just care about talking to their friends don’t even bother with migrations, they just remake a new fresh account, everyone who matters refollows the new one immediately.

I have the same dilemma with holidays, it's just assumed you take holidays and want holidays, if you don't, people tend to make you feel odd!
I can't remember the last time Mr DT and I had a holiday, we have four cats, I won't fly, to minimise my carbon footprint, so nearly all our holidays have been UK based.
I don't feel like I'm missing out, it's a choice I'm happy with 😁
