We're back on another adventure! 🐾 It's a dry but colder night. My weather station said it's almost -3°C, the weather witches 🧙🏻‍♀️ say the real feel is about -6. The wind is not too bad here, but it could be more chilly when we reach the more open bit of the walk.

I did some bits at the gym. Rode the seated bike for half an hour. Then I went to the Smith Machine area, and did four sets. Three sets with 8 reps and the last one I tried for 10 reps. I had added a wee bit of weight, so now I had 2*6,25 kilo's on the 11,3kg barbell. So that's 26,8kg today. 😊

Arwen is wearing her warm coat, so she's taking all the time for the sniffs. Which is nice for her, but it's a bit chilly to stand still too long. Even with the insulated pants and all...

I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine wasn't too bad, I just struggled with exercises and food due to the damned financial issues. 😔 Ugh...

And I tried log in to my PayPal and it would not accept my password. I may have used a wrong one, so I tried to use the button for the forgotten password. And it keeps giving me an error. Of course they only have a phone helpdesk between the daytime hours. I hate calling, but I do want the access back to my account... So I guess I need to call them this morning. Stupid brain fog messing up all the passwords... 😔

I'll check some of my other social media bits and maybe I can write a bit for my blog, if my hands don't get too cold.

Ello sweet (and sporty) Friendos

It's da Pixy again! The scale wasn't too nice, as I had snacked too much and exercised too little. I just didn't have the strength to motivate myself to do more. I felt tired and a little bit of "idgaf" so yeah, I decided to just do the minimum and then enjoy some gaming...

I did make a slight improvement at the gym today. I used the Smith Machine for 4 sets. Three sets had 8 reps, the 4th had 10. But! I added two small disc's of 1,25 kilo's each, so I pressed 2*6,25 + 11,3 of the barbell, which makes a total of 26,8kg. That's about 59lbs. 😊

I really need to do better, as it's better for my bad hip to have less weight on it. But I feel like I've hit a plateau and I've been between 79-81 kilo's for the last few weeks. Every time I get to the 79 I feel more excited and then I mess up again... 😔

So yeah, I really need to try and do better again. And I know I keep saying it. And it feels like it's getting harder to keep trying as I feel like I'm failing again and again. I feel like I'm not really trying hard enough.

I know the circumstances aren't the best. I know I'm struggling mentally and physically, and that's makes it harder to do my best, as my spoons are just so low...but I don't want to give up!

So I keep sharing my journey, the little goods and the bigger bads. And I hope that it will help me to keep going... I hope...

Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 477 , Sunday 16/02/2025

Sunday started at 8am, only 6 hours sleep as I was late up having got caught up with playing on the PS5 last night. Then listening to my audio book.

Got breakfast for the two of us & then, after watching ‘Winterwatch’ I played some NMS co-op with A certain Pixy, although for some reason we had to play single player, using screen share to help each other.

We binge watched a few episodes of ‘Grace’ which got us thru until tea time when we watched Tom Hanks in ‘News of the World’ & had a very naughty takeaway to finish the weekend.
I do love a good Tom Hanks movie, he is such a good actor!

Final Thoughts.

Not a bad day all told, must try & get to bed a bit earlier tonight!
Also must remember to post my epilogue over on my MAJ1 a/c! I owe you all a Hitchhikers quote!

#Journal of a slightly stressed Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Sunday, 16/02/2025).

TL;DR usual start of the day, dad came to help with some shelves, and I've had a bit of game time. But I did overeat and feel bläh a bit too... 😔

Woke a few times during the night, and then about 15 minutes to the alarm. I pulled the charger plug and then I noticed my phone was at 8%! Euh... I put in the charger but I didn't plug it in my phone! 🤦🏼‍♂️ Ow no! So I quickly got my phone on the wire so it could start getting some juice again! The scale was not my bestest friend, although it did say my muscles were getting a bit better... That would be very nice... 😊 So I took my meds, cared for Arwen, and then headed to the gym.

Enjoyed my protein shake, while my phone was connected to a socket at the gym, next to "my" table. I needed more juice to be able to use the phone during my exercises. 😊 When it was full enough, I got to the seated bike and did my ride there. I was aching some, so I skipped the Smith Machine tonight. I did get a massage in the chair before I got ready to head back home again.

I cared for Arwen's paw. But I made the mistake of prepping her meat first, the one she gets her supplements in, and while I tried to put ointment on the bottom of her paw, she was drooling over my hands! 😂 She wanted the sausage bits! Then I washed up, dressed, had brekky. We headed our for SniffiVerse™ walkies and Arwen seemed to be doing a bit better again. Which was very nice!

We walked longer route. The wind was very chilly, so I watched some series as we walked... And then my phone decided it should go empty very fast. I didn't make it to the charger... When we were in front of the house, the phone died. Which is weird cause usually it would last me the whole walkies, even with me streaming things... 🤔 Guess I'll have to make due a wee while longer, as I can't see about getting a new phone till the end of July... It's not that old yet, 3 years now, but I do use it a whole lot...

Phone on the charger and then I didn't feel like riding the hometrainer. So I got to the couch and used my laptop to work on my blog a bit. 😊 Fixed some food and then Arwen and I went out for short walkies. When we got back, I played a little NMS. And then I brought the stuff upstairs that we need for the shelves. As dad would be coming over this early afternoon to help me hang a few shelves.

I fixed some food and then a sweet friend helped me a bit with NMS, as I'd been struggling with something in it. The game can be fun, but it has some quirks that are weird for sure... 🤔

Then dad came and we hung the 4 shelves. He had some water after that and went back home, as Arwen and I were getting ready for walkies with N&B. We had a nice walk, but it was rather cold though! There was sun, but the wind... Brrrr...

I watched some telly, let Arwen out for a final wee, and then I went to bed. Woke once for the loo and then about 15 minutes to the alarm. Ready to start a new week...

#Journal of a slightly anxious Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Saturday, 15/02/2025).

Usual Saturday, with the normal chores and relaxing and all that. But I felt anxious as I still don't know that much about the financial mess my ex bf is making.... 😔

I got up before the alarm. Which was fortunate, as I was to tired that I did plug in the charger into the socket, but I didn't put it in my phone. So the battery was very close to dying! Quickly plugged it in! Then I got to the scale, which wasn't too bad (but as I said before, it could be better....). Got my meds, cared for Arwen, and when she was eating, I headed to the gym.

I had my charger with me, and while I waited for the meds to kick in, and while I enjoyed my protein shake, I had my phone plugged into a socket next to the table I was at. Needed the juice! Then I rode the bike for about half an hour, when I saw that the Smith Machine area was free. So I got my gloves and I did 4 sets with several reps. It went rather well, and it felt good to be doing these exercises again. A massage in the chair after that and then I headed back home again.

Cared for Arwen's paw, and then I washed up and had brekky. The weather wasn't too bad, so Arwen and I headed out together. She was walking a lot better again, so I guess the ointment, and yesterday wearing the shoe for a bit, had been helping her paw to heal up. We walked the medium route and on the way back, her paw started to annoy her a bit. So I cleaned it again when we got home. Some ointment on it, and then I went upstairs to ride the bike.

I only did a bike ride, not a rowing bit. I just didn't feel up to it. Mind you, I wasn't that motivated to ride the bike either, but I did do it for some time. Then I headed down and I fixed some food. After food, Arwen wanted walkies. And then, there was the neighbor! She was early... No nomnoms, so Arwen was a bit disappointed. 😂

When we got back, I headed to the couch and I fired up the purple beast. I played a bit of NMS, finishing the second phase and getting some bits done in the third one. But that's an underwater one, which is something I'm not too good at... But I got a few things done and I'm trying to work on some of the others. 😊

I walked Arwen again and... There was the neighbor again! I did not time it like that! As I can only see her when she's near my place, and she lives around the bend in the street... So Arwen was very delighted and we had a nice walk.

I did the laundry and I swept the floors. I had wanted to game some more, but after I'd hung the laundry, I was just too tired. So I decided to watch the series Found some more. I'm really enjoying it. 😊

Then it was time to get ready for the walkies again. We had a nice walk, and after that, I watched another episode before heading to bed. Arwen was a good gall and did a wee before bed, so I could set my alarm 8 hours later.

I had a restless night. Woke twice for the loo, and I was feeling rather warm. And nope, the electric blanket was off... And yeah my phone was charging. 😂 Then I woke again about 15 minutes to the alarm, so I got up and started my day.

SniffiVerse™ walkies Toot

Ello frens and fans of Arwen

We're out and about again. Arwen seems to be doing OK now, the flesh between her paw beans is looking less red, so the calendula is helping her. Yay for that. 😊 It's 0°C with a real feel of -3. But there's not too much wind at the moment so it doesn't feel too bad (yet?).

I only rode the seated bike at the gym. As my muscles were feeling sore during the night, I didn't want to overdo it. If I feel up to it, I'll see if I can row a little after riding the hometrainer later tonight. 😊

I need to work on my blog though and I wanna game some... So I wonder how motivated I'll be to exercise after the SniffiVerse™ walkies today. Maybe I'll just ride a shorter while and row a wee bit. As I will also need go prepare the guestroom for when dad comes to help with the shelves. 😊

So what seemed to be a relaxing day became a bit busier, but with good things, so that's a plus. Next week I only have the Physio and the shopping with mum, so hopefully I can get some relaxing in then. Although, if the weather gets better, as the weather witches 🧙🏻‍♀️ predict at the moment, maybe I wanna drive to the zoo again next Friday? 🤔 Make the most of my new sub, as long as I can. They now predict that it could be as high as 16°C next Friday! So that would be nice enough for a visit...

Let's see if I can update some other bits of my social media and then work on my blog a bit.

I did a whoopsiedaisies and I got on the scale while still wearing my PJs top. So I guess that added a weeeee bit to my weight tonight. But it was a bit higher, partially due to me having an anxiety induced snack moment. I'm still unsure about the financial mess my male ex seems to be creating for me... And I deal badly with that... Ugh I just wish that this stupid house would be sold and I'd be done with it... 😔

Anywhoo... Tried to do my best at the gym. Rode the seated bike, even half of the bit on intensity 2. I kept it low, due to my leg having issues. But I just wanted to try it out. Then I saw the Smith Machine area being free, so I headed there for a few sets. Managed four sets, first one of 8 reps but the other three I did 10 reps. Still on the 2*5+11,3kg weights. Don't want to increase that too fast.

I got some healthy food for today, so hopefully that will help me with my food intake today. As I have some gaming planned, which means less activities during that time.

Arwen seams go be walking a wee bit better so let's see how far we can get today.

Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 475 , Friday 14/02/2025

I had another late night last night which led me to getting up around 8am feeling pretty groggy.

I bought Mrs S the requisite card & a little teddy bear in a box that she can carry in her bag (she’s a teddy bear nut! ) she got me a card.

That said today hasn’t been too bad although I was not feeling particularly social so ducked out of a co-op gaming session on NMS. Hopefully I’ll feel more like it soon!

Listened to my audiobook this morning after my chores & the played some FO76 & DL2 this afternoon.

Mrs S & I went out for tea at our fave restaurant & they did us proud, I had halloumi & chorizo skewers with a mint sauce & flat bread for starters, Mrs S had broccoli & Stilton soup. We then had a shared meat platter with a mini pulled pork burger, fried chicken, hot wings & fries.
There was plenary of food for both of us & neither of us had room for dessert - which was a shame but hey I’ve reached the stage where sleep is more important than stuffing myself to the point of indigestion. Also these days I must take Geoff’s reaction to things into account!

The food was excellent & the atmosphere most convivial - on the whole a really nice night out!

The weather deteriorated from moderately grim to all out yuck while we were eating so I was glad when we made it hoe a little after 21:15.

There’s a weather warning for snow tomorrow to the north of us so I’m hoping it doesn’t reach us!

Final Thoughts.

Not a bad day all told, although I still cannot chase this exhaustion & brain fuzz. Even with the sat-nav I managed to start the journey this evening by heading in the wrong direction … Nuggan only knows why 🙄🤦‍♂️
Thankfully Mrs S was on the ball & apart from having to deal with my least favourite roundabout of all time we didn’t suffer too much of a delay in our journey.

Mrs S is off to see her mum in the morning so I might attempt a decent lie in & see if that helps.
