If you are living outside of the US, whether a citizen or not, and have plans to visit the US, you should probably cancel those plans.

It’s possible the vast majority of tourists will be fine. But the risk is no longer just being turned away. The risk is being put into a private detention camp indefinitely. Even if you haven’t broken any laws.

Yeah, that's what I meant by it's a bit hidden. 😉

But... If you are currently using the standard theme (and are on the account settings page) you can click ">>" in the top left corner to get to other settings.

After you've changed to Bookface it will be the bottom left button that does the same thing.

Capitalism is incredibly immoral.

If you have to save one person's life and your options are a doctor or a CEO then I think the answer is obvious.

But our society continuously picks the billionaires over countless others. Over and over again, we let people die of starvation, or treatable illness because they won't share.

It is even worse, because it isn't a choice about who dies. It is death and suffering vs a number in a bank's computer. Yet our society prioritizes that number every time.

Trump really thinks anybody that’s not a straight white man got their job bc of DEI. Firing a four-star fighter pilot bc “of focus on woke initiatives” - read, he’s Black - and replacing him with a white man who doesn’t even meet the official qualifications for the job. Really, his replacement nominee would need a Congressional waiver as he is missing top experience.

@Johan_Barelds everything is so horrible. I knew it was going to be extremely bad when he was reelected - since 2016, over and over, most people have told me I’m exaggerating the danger and 95% of the time it’s been as bad or worse than I feared. But this is so much worse than even I feared. I knew he would cozy up to Putin (or is a Russian asset), I didn’t think he would declare all our allies enemies and vice versa.
It’s all treacherous and treasonous.

I hope the actions don’t include denying Americans visas, I am worried that clapback would mean my work/residence visa for Spain would not get renewed … it feels like a matter of time before Trump starts putting people in jail who disagree with him 🥺

My wife and I talk a lot on Telegram. Most of it is "I love you". I wrote a bot which auto-replied to "I love you" with "I love you too" after a short delay. Turns out she did the same thing. I finished work and there were 5,000 unread "I love you" and "I love you too" messages.
