But, I kept trying, experimenting, and at lsme point, the online persona I had made for myself, the colorful Pixy, was starting to take shape in AI form. I’ve used Bing at first, then I tried ChatGPT, then a paid version of that one, until I switched to a paid Gemini account, as it had more to offer with the drive and all that. I learned to write better prompts, the possibilities got better, the models got better, and bit by bit, the Pixy was taking shape.

I know people are against AI images, as they say it steals from real artists. And, Iโve seen that happen, and I understand the concerns, frustration, and anger. ๐ Still, I am no artist. I donโt have an income that I could use to afford artists. I have too many weird ideas, and AI was the easiest way for me to express myself better. I started to create more images, to go with my blog posts, so theyโd be more personal and unique. I learned how to better add texts to my images, so they would be easier to read. And slowly, I think my images got better. Andโฆ With recent improvements in the model, Iโve also been able to create more realistic images of Pixy. Not in photo style, I want her to remain more digital, like in cartoon style. But with adding better environments, that reflect the real life situations better.

I shared many of these (older) images on my blog, as I used them as header images for my posts. Then, I also started to create other AI images to go with my blog posts. Some times, I made many, as I had many ideas. Plus, the way Bing worked back then, you could write a short promp, and it would give you 4 different images. When I had no new ideas, Iโd reuse the older ones, edit them in a different wayโฆ

I wanted to use the AI made images as much as I could, so the resources that had been used to make them would be used to the fullest. Of course, sometimes AI just was too drunk to understand your prompt, and because the prompt would be so limited, that I had to try a few times, before I would get one, or more, image(s) that I could properly use. Often, I did edit them, and as said, when I could edit them in different ways to use them more than once, I did that for sure.

When I started trying ChatGPT, I discovered new ways of writing promps. And, it would only make one image, which often was good enough, although some times, GPT would be really drunk and mess aroundโฆ When I compared paid AI options, I found out that Gemini was better, at that time at least, for images. Plus it would offer me more than just AI for the money. So, I made the switch. And, together with Gemini, I have been exploring AI generated images. I tried to improve the Pixy ones, and itโs been rather fun, in a way, to find out how to write the best promps, and how to use original pictures, to get the results that I was hoping for.

I will share some of my older and newer edited versions of the Pixy character. I tried to keep their appearance as much alike, by using a saved prompt for that. Although I did make some adjustments along the way, when I was able to use longer prompts, and when AI could work with more commands in the prompts.
