Unter anderem haben genau die Daten den Weg dafür bereitet. DAS ist ein Problem, auf das viele Menschen und Institutionen schon lange intensiv hinweisen. "Nerds" ist da der völlig falsche Begriff. Auch Nerds. Ja. Ind vor allem auch Menschen mit Weitblick und der Offenheit sich in Dinge, die "mattern", rein zu denken.
Aber die Funktionen. Aber die Gewohnheit. Aber alles ist so einfach. Jo. Jetzt habe wir den Preis gewonnen. Ind viele viele bleiben bei ihrer Gewohnheit. Wahrscheinlich dann noch, wenn sie in den Keller müssen!?

Many things said.with regard to.english are aplicable tonother languages as well. And even the way sentences, questions and quotations are marked, differ by language. Almost every language has untranslatable words. With coulors and numbers, different languages have different shemes to name them.
Generally technology tend to be western European centric. It underestimates the complexity and variety within humanity.
There are languages,.where a word can be a full sentence. And so on.
It doesn't end with left running or right running also top down or vice versa and combinations.
Whilst one language by country works most of the time, but there are countries with multiple languages, who are equal to each other.

Yes to all this, except that monolingual countries are the exception, I believe, and the majority of the world's population actually lives in multilingual environments.
Even here in Finland, with just 5 million people, we have three national languages, and several smaller linguistic communities in addition.

Was wirklich fehlt?
Getrennte #Fediverse-Clients auf #Android, die miteinander reden.
Ich will einfach nicht die gleiche Darstellung für meinen Bilder-Account @photos wie für diesen generischen hier oder den Musik-Dings.
Wenn alles gleich aussieht und sich gleich anfühlt, sorgt das auch im besten Fall nur dafür dass ich Dinge versehentlich mit dem falschen Account tu.
Ich will aber trotzdem ein "öffne diesen Beitrag mit einem anderen Account" oder noch besser "boost/like mit Account Y" - was momentan nur funktioniert wenn der andere Account im gleichen Client hinterlegt ist.

Microsoft hat in meinem Empfinden einfach so gut wie alles verschlechtert. Alleine dieses ständige gespiele mit Outlook bzw. Mail nervt einfach unglaublich. Überall Werbung bei nem bezahlten System etc.
War für mich genug und bin auf #ubuntu umgestiegen mit Thunderbird etc.
Ich will ein schlankes und sauberes System und keinen Supermarkt der ständig die Gänge verändert damit man neu kauft.

So we're at the next hurdle in keeping Friendica.World stable.
We now hit an issue where a cleanup job hangs the database. The database query it fires takes too long, and after a while this starts locking other processes in the database. Then the database connections fill up to the maximum, and the site becomes available.
I've raised an issue for this : github.com/friendica/friendica… and someone proposed a workaround they are using, we might try that as well until a fix has been created.

I downloaded the #gnome-iso from the #Bazzite website. There were no significant problems during the installation. However, when the PC started for the first time after the installation, an error occurred due to the #secure #boot. I then deactivated the Secure Boot, restarted the computer and lo and behold, everything worked perfectly. Then I read through the documentation and took a closer look at the mistake, which is very well explained there.

After the changes in the #BIOS regarding the Secure Boot, I started again and everything was fine.
Steam was already pre -installed and I just had to register and then download my games again. After several attempts, I found that the mouse was not recognized in some games. When researching further, I found that it may be a problem with Gnome.
Danach habe ich GNOME deinstalliert und bin auf KDE umgestiegen. Und siehe da, alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich habe ein kurzes Video ohne Kommentar hochgeladen, das sieht schon mal nicht schlecht aus.

After that I uninstalled Gnome and switched to KDE. And lo and behold, everything works perfectly. I uploaded a short video without comment, that doesn't look bad 😜

As my first (that I owned) childhood computer was Amiga 500+ it is only natural that I have affection for it. But even beyond that - I believe that its user interface still holds up today and I would love to see Linux steal some of that awesomeness.
