Ello frens and fans of Arwen

I think Arwen is feeling a bit better! I have no idea if she'll want the bigger round (but I could always hope? 🍀), but she's walking a lot better now.
When I put the ointment on her paw, or looked a lot less red... Fingers, euh, paws 🐾 crossed that things are improving!

It's dry and warm, with 10°C. But I did get a few rain warnings, so I took the silly umbrella, just in case (as my jacket isn't water resistant).

I only used the seated bike at the gym. I think the zoo trip yesterday exhausted me a bit. So maybe I can do some exercises at home this morning. Otherwise, I'll need to do my best again tomorrow. I need to start losing some weight again, as it's still above the 80 kilos, even though it was below that for a wee bit of time. Although I do think my fat percentage went down and my muscles went up some. So that's a good change too. 😊

Let's see if I can share some more of my zoo snaps to Pixelfed. And maybe, if Arwen wants the bigger walk, I could edit some vids? 🤞🏻

I tried to get an Alt text from Bing yesterday, for a picture with meerkats. It said it was not allowed to create a text, but if I would describe the image, it could make one! 😂 So basically I had to wrote the alt text myself and then it would "give me" an Alt text in return! 😂 Sometimes the alt texts by Bing are well done. At other times, it fails harder than I do!

Anywhoo let's see what I can manage during walkies. Arwen is enjoying the warmer weather, as she's getting all the sniffs in now! 😇

#Journal of a slightly exhausted Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Friday, 21/02/2025).

I woke about half an hour before the alarm. I had slept in one go, which doesn't happen too often for me! Got to the scale, got dressed, and prepped food for my gall. She went out for a wee, and then she was enjoying her food while I got to the gym. It was so warm tonight with it being 11°C when I drove to the gym...

I checked my social bits online while I enjoyed my protein shake and while I was waiting for the meds to kick in. I got to the seated bike and rode for half an hour. Then, even though I didn't feel like it, I headed to the Smith Machine. Did three sets of 8 with the higher weight I ended with last time, the 2*7,5+11,3 kg. It didn't go too badly, but I enjoyed it a bit less, as part of me just felt a bit bläh. I enjoyed a massage in the chair and then I got ready to head back home again.

Cared for Arwen's paw before I washed up and changed clothes. Enjoyed my brekky and then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. Arwen's paw was still bothering her, so even though the weather was lovely, we only walked a short round. I totally understand, no one enjoys walking with a bad foot. But I just wish she felt better.... (also because I really enjoy the longer walks with her).

When we got home, I changed my clothes and headed upstairs to the hometrainer. While I was riding, my leg decided not to be willing to cooperate for long, so it was only a 25 minutes ride. I got my laptop out after that, and I worked a bit on my blog's journal post. Then I fixed some food and took Arwen for a short walk.

Some relaxing after that, till we had to get ready for a short walk and the drive to Nijmegen. Arwen would be staying with my parents while I would visit the Zoo today. The journey to Nijmegen went faster than I had expected. So I waited a wee bit there before I headed to Arnhem for the Zoo. The trip went well too, and when I walked up from the parking, the gate was open, so I could have my card scanned and I headed inside.

It was amazing! The first hour was just magical, as it was so quiet! Even the indoors bits were more quiet than usual. I spent two minutes watching a big snake slide by, and there was just me there... 😊 I tried to take many snaps and some vids. Around 10:30 it was getting busier, especially as the weather was getting warmer and all. So around 11 I headed back to the gates, and wow, it was really filling up now!

The drive to my parents went well, so I picked up Arwen and then we headed back home. I fixed her food, and had some snacks myself, and I texted the neighbor that I made it home in time. She texted that her dog was still tired, so no rush... But then, at the usual time, she texted again that her dog was ready for walkies! 😂

We walked a short round as the neighbor was struggling with serious hay fever, and Arwen was struggling with her paw. When we got back, I uploaded my snaps and vids to Flickr, and watched some TV till it was time for the last wee... (for Arwen! 😉).

Headed to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo, and then about half an hour to the alarm. So I got up and started the new day. Which was said to become a wet one, as there were a few warnings for rain... Ugh... Bummer!

Ello sweet and lovely Friendos

I is back again! Had an OK night, so that's something. 😊 Was very tired after my adventure to the Zoo. And on the way back I almost hit an old "cow" (silly "lady" on an ebike...), as there was an ambulance 🚑 coming and we needed to make space but she just wanted to keep driving the bike, and the ambulance just had to wait for her.... 🤔 Ugh...

But the first hour in the zoo was awesome! It was so quiet and I think I got some good vids and snaps. I will try to share more on Pixelfed, and o did share the link to my Flickr before I went to bed (from my Friendica account, I'll see if I boosted it on here). 😊 Ow I saw I had not boosted it yet (I think it had not been on Masto when I went to bed 🤔), so I just boosted it here.

I had a decent sleep, and the scale was "high" in weight but it also gave me a wee bit higher health score (84/100), which usually means that my fat is lower a bit and my muscles have gone up some. 😊

Let's see what I can do at the gym today. Even though Arwen and I walked a short walk last night, and with the neighbor and her dog, including the zoo, I did get to 20k steps yesterday. 😊 And I did ride the hometrainer a wee bit before I went to the zoo. So activity wise, it wasn't too bad. But I also snacked as I was so hungry when I got home... Ah well...

I wanna start with the seated bike and then see how busy it is and how my body feels...

Today I'll need to do the laundry I guess. Yesterday I swept most of the floors. And we're getting a lot of rain today, or so the weather witches 🧙🏻‍♀️ say, so I guess it's no use to clean more at this point, as it will get very muddy again due to the rains.... 😔

Hopefully I can get some gaming in today. Maybe with a friend, maybe alone... Let's see how things will go... And I wanna see if I can edit some of my vids from the zoo so that I can share them on PeerTube. When I was home yesterday, my instance had maintenance, so I could not upload anything anyway. But maybe tonight, I can edit the vids with some text and music... 😊
